Condition:

Mechanical: This Beetle is in great working condition, drives beautifully, and is very clean because it has been well-maintained and lightly driven by the same family for over a decade. There are no check engine lights or known mechanical problems, and there is no history of structural repairs or unresolved recalls. No flood, hail, or fire damage. Title is clean. Inspections and registration are current. Fluids and mechanicals are checked regularly. The car is being sold because it is no longer needed, and the new owner will have a fantastic vehicle. The original timing belt is in good condition (no cracks or dry rot, see photos). Very low miles within 50 miles of odometer reading at time of listing. Four new tires installed around 65,000 miles. Recent improvements in the last six months include a new battery, two new rear shocks, and two new lift gate supports.

Exterior: The power moonroof, mirrors, windows, and door locks all operate like new. Super fun to drive with the moonroof open. There are no leaks or rust. New tires provide superb traction in all weather. Wear-and-tear is minimal. Refer to photos for locations of cosmetic blemishes in the original paint. The most notable scratches are on the tailgate, rear bumper, passenger side door and running board. There are finish imperfections on the rear quarter panels. A locking gas cap secures the fuel tank instead of the hinged gas cover that no longer locks.

Interior: The interior is tidy and has had only nonsmoking drivers. New gray custom-fit floor mats. Lights and controls are all intact and functional. No tears in the upholstery; the light gray upholstery ages well with only minimal discoloration in certain areas. Hard surfaces have very minor scuffs. Door panels have the usual sagging synthetic leather inserts above the arm rest. Original owner’s manual is intact. Spare tire and tool kit are intact. The utility key is used for ignition because the key fob operates the keyless entry and anti-theft only.

Seller reserves the right to cancel all bids and end auction early should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. Seller will not be obligated to sell in the event of a bid retraction. New bidders with zero feedback rating or negative feedback should send message to Seller prior to bidding. The successful bidder will be contacted following close of auction with instructions for payment and pick up arrangements.

Payment: To secure the vehicle after being contacted by the Seller, the successful high bidder is to submit a nonrefundable $500 deposit via PayPal, as well as submit a copy of current driver’s license and return the signed Bill of Sale, within 24 hours of the close of the auction. Within seven (7) days of close of auction, Buyer agrees to pay full balance due (plus applicable PA 6% sales tax and $25 title fee). Balance may be paid by cash (in person) or certified check in US dollars. Seller will transfer title and release vehicle after completion of all financial transactions and documentation. If deposit and documentation are not received within 24 hours of the close of auction or the full balance is not paid within seven (7) days following the close of auction, Seller reserves the right to re-list the vehicle or sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer.

Additional Fees and Taxes: Buyer is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and fees, insurance, as well as to obtain and pay for title/registration and tags in the state where the Buyer will register the vehicle. Out-of-state Buyers are responsible to obtain temporary tags for transport following release of PA title.

Shipping: For quickest transfer, Buyer is strongly encouraged to pick up the vehicle in person so that they may obtain title at the time of payment. Shipping services within the US are available from Ebay through its partner companies (click the link on the listing page for an instant quote). Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges to pick up the Vehicle from the Seller’s location and to provide full payment and proof of insurance before title is transferred and vehicle is released to a shipping company. Seller assumes no responsibility for damages incurred after release of title.

Buyer's Inspection: This vehicle is being sold “as is” in its present condition with no warranties expressed or implied from the Seller. Every effort has been made to accurately describe the current condition of the Vehicle in this listing. Please be advised that a used vehicle will exhibit signs of wear and tear as would be typical for its model year and that used mechanical parts are subject to maintenance requirements and future replacement.
