1964 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

Selling my 1964 original sunroof VW bug, his name is Summer Nights.
The story before I purchased:
I purchased this car on January 28, 2007, from a firefighter who used this car as his form of transportation to and from work. The firefighter had it from about 2001-07, and he said he had purchased it from an elder lady who had it for her youngest daughter to commute to college. The daughter got a new car, so they had no use for this. This car is special because this is a first year sunroof, and last year of the small window. Original color from the factory is Bahama Blue, and it's the same color today. The firefighter said that he had the motor rebuilt sometime in 2005-06.
My story:
In 2007, I knew I wanted a 64 bug in great condition, but could not find anything of my liking. During the holidays of 2006, I went on vacation, and while I was on vacation I received a call from my father and he said that he had found the perfect bug that met my expectations. When I saw the car in early January, I knew I had to have it. I purchased it in great running condition, always garaged, and religiously have kept up with the maintenance. I have driven it all over SoCal on both the streets and freeway without any problems in my 10 years of ownership. The car is matching numbers body and pan.
Motor: 1600cc in great running condition
Interior is very clean from the seats, to the carpet, to the dash

Areas to take note of:
-sunroof was stuck closed when I bought the car. I bought new sunroof cables and guides and the weather stripping. I had an upholstery shop install the parts, and the sunroof opened/closed great with no leaks. A few months after this, I failed to see a speed bump and drove over it while the sunroof was open, ever since then it got stuck again. Took it to the upholstery shop and the guy said that the cables fell out of the rails, but said it was an easy job for those who know how to do it
-some of the clips that hold the door panel to the door have fallen out over the years, again an upholstery session will fix this
-small paint pealing around the sunroof and around the windshield wipers area
-paint peeling in the deck lid and rear vent area. Years back the carburetor caught fire and caused this. Carburetor has been long replaced since.
-I noticed the other day a small common oil leak
-dome light bulb needs to be replaced
-the Motorola radio in the pictures is not mine, so it will not be included in the sale
Reason for sale:
I have too many Volkswagens, a demanding career, so the car does not get driven as much as it should be
In the 10 years that I have owned it, I have only driven it only 6,646 miles. Clean California title in my name, tags up to date. No rust. It looks like an older restoration, that still holds very well today. Electrical works great, shifts great, looks great, drives very great. The small things it needs are very minimal and cosmetic. Looking to sell to a VW enthusiast who will take care of him as much as I have. Like any old car, it is great as is or minimal TLC.
