2003 Volkswagen Jetta Description

This will be a low reserve auction for a 2003 Jetta WagonTDI 1.9L Diesel. It is a great daily driver with ICE cold A/C, 5-speed manual transmission, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control. I drive it daily to work which is about 50 miles round trip. It is averaging about 48mpg right now. The cosmetic condition is fair to good as can be seen in the photos. The mechanical condition is good to very good. It just received its state safety inspection about a month a ago and it passed easy. The check engine light is on and the code shows a glow plug issue. It starts and runs fine even with the issue. I would not worry about taking the little TDI on a long trip. The body has 2 minor rust areas over the front fenders as shown in the photos. There was a sponge foundin this area that rubbed off the protective coating and the area rusted. The rest of the body is free of rust. The tires were replaced just over a year ago. The water pump, timing belt and idler pulleys were just replaced at 230k miles. The intake was replaced a couple year ago due to carbon buildup inside its passages. This is a normal issue with the TDI ALH engines. It ran like a new engine after this intake change out. The old intake was restricted to a passage smaller than a dime at change out. A set of injectors were installed a couple months ago as a normal maintenance replacement. The engine ran much smoother and was easier to start with the replacement injectors. The battery was replaced about a month ago. The turbo charger was replaced about 2 months ago and the boost level was set to factory spec for this model car, about 16 PSI boost or a MAP reading of 31 PSI. Most of the more expensive maintenance items that would need attention have already been replaced or repaired with this Jetta.If you have any additional questions or need additional photos let me know and I will get back to you ASAP.
