1973 Volkswagen Thing Red Description

Hard to find 1973 VW Thing. Awesome beach cruiser and is a real head turner. Remember that this car is 43 years old and is far from perfect. This car is being sold AS IS!! I am attaching lots of pictures and a video so you can see exactly what you are buying. If you have a question, just let me know. This car would be a great candidate for a full restoration.
The good- super fun car to drive. Interior is in great shape. Motor runs strong. All 4 gears shift good. Great Bluetooth stero with amp and JL Audio speakers. Custom speaker box with space for Yeti cooler. New top. Full interior has been professionally sprayed with rhino lining.
The bad- car is 43 years old. Remember that. There are areas that have rust and should be repaired if you want that perfect car. Personally I didn't care. I do not have the plastic Windows. There is a small crack in the bottom right corner of the windshield. The wipers are working. Probably just a fuse since they used to work fine. Top speed is only 50 mph. This is not a highway car!! The current tires are just a little too big for this car. As such they do rub a little when the steering is turned all the way. Either need a wheel spacer or smaller tires. An easy fix. I have the rear bumper but it is not attached due to some rust issues where the bumper attaches to the frame. I was going to weld two plates to reinforce but haven't had the time to get it done. Now I will let the new owner fix as they choose. That's about it. Full disclosure
