1955 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

A True Time Capsule1955 VW BeetleAs complete and original as they come
You don't find gems like this everyday. I hate to let her go, but I know I won't get to it this year, my 23 window is priority. I would hate to see this sit any longer than it already has - been out ofcirculation since '79. So I'moffering to the world...
Here's your chance to ownan awesomepiece of VWhistory.
To find something that is 60+ years old with matching numbers and 100% complete with everysingleoriginal part is no easy task. I hate the thought of letting her go, but I know I won't have the time she needs. I need the time and space to focus onmy 23 window.
Original Matching Numbers Car with the Original 36 HP Engine.- Pan, Engine & ALL other parts are original to this car.
This is a rare car with rare options. It can be on the road rather quickly... the radio tunes & plays, the lights work, and the semaphores light up.
There is juice to the starter, but not the main hot wire - that's why she won't try to turn over. I haven't crawled around to see what the wiring issue is yet, but the motor spins free and this is a super sound car; therefore, I know it won't take much to get her running. I'm pretty sure with some fresh gas, a new fuel filter and a few hours of time - this baby will fire right up.
This rare beetle was featured on an original Volkswagen Billboard Ad and Print Ad for the '72 Super Beetle. The photo of the ad below has a red arrow pointing to this car that I am selling. This Ad was provided to the original owner by VW at the time of thephoto shoot, and it will be included in this sale. This sale also include the unsigned original registration card from 1979 - It's dated May 31, 1979. This registration also states the name of the original dealership where this car was originally purchased.
Very coolpiece of history here.
- She's still 6 Volt
The interior is AMAZING (and hasn't been cleaned for over a decade)- The "hide-a-key"such button starter is simply awesome. VW was truly innovative and this was a factory option to have the key match the ivory knobs back then (never seen one before).
- The Heater Channels are Solid- The Matching Pan is Solid- The Floors are Solid- Passenger's side rocker area needs some attention, but the car can be enjoyed as is
