1998 Volvo S70 Description

• 1998 Volvo S70
• 115,000 miles
• Runs pretty well most of the time; sometimes it stalls, but then it starts back up after you turn the car off and start it again. The stalling, when it occurs, happens when the car is stopped, for example at a stop sign. It does not stall when the car is moving. It has not stalled while I have driven it locally. My daughter reported the occassional stalling.
• Body in decent shape
• Interior is worn but adequate
• Sun roof/Moon roof
• Heated leather seats
• New axle June 2016
• New timing belt August 2015
• Rear brakes November 2015
• Leaks a little oil; might be the rear main seal; it has been that way since we purchased it in April 2015 and has not been a problem. Our daughter has gone for weeks without checking the oil so any leak must be very slow.
• There have been occasionalwarning lights on the dashboard. We've had them checked by a mechanic in the past. There may or may not be one now.
• Top of oil dipstick is broken off; need pliers to check oil
• Blinkers do not turn off after the turn has been completed; you need to turn it off manually
• The power lock button works for three doors, but not the passenger door
• The horn works when the car is on. The horn does not work when the car is not on. I don't know if horns in 1998 Volvos are supposed to function when the car is not turned on and I could not find this information online. The horn in my 2004 Honda works whether the car is turned on or not.
