1993 Volvo 240 Description

Vehicle purchased new. One owner. Mostly garaged covered, Minimal winter driving, Non-smoking.

93,xxx miles approx. Driven about 50 miles per week last 10 years.

4 Michelin HydroEdge directional, 7-8mm tread remaining. Factory alluminum wheels. No curb rash on rims

2.3L engine, auto transmission, cruise control, factory hard rubber fitted floor mats

2 Nokian snow tires on steel rims. Less than 2000 miles. This car basically not winter driven, was one of five 240s.

Bodywork unmarked except for some stone chips and three hail dingers

Interior like new. Seats have been covered and car has never been uncovered, inside or out.

Vehicle is original factory except for:

IPD cross engine strut support and IPD under engine chassis bracing

Original factory radio failed. Replaced with Kenwood cassette two knob cassette period radio. 4 x 20watt speakers retained.

Electric cooling fan [dual sensing to avoid single point failure]. Greatly improved winter gas mileage

Over the axle exhaust. No rattles or clonking like under axle system.

Driving lights

Remote door lock/unlock

All interior lamps [except speedometer cluster] replaced with LED lamps

Tail lamps except turn signals replaced with LED bulbs

Whats not working

Heated front seats. Should work, have been disconnected for last twenty years

Cigarette lighter. Plugged with a no-smoking sign. Does work

Recent work

Front brakes. Very recent new discs and pads. Rear discs and pad will be renewed before delivery.

Valve lash and timing belt check.

Overdrive relay replaced

Replaced AC accumulator, recharged and set to meet factory AC temperature requirements

Major past repairs

Cat convertor and new over-the-axle complete exhaust system.

New brake hydraulic fluid. Caliper pistons and rubbers renewed @ 20year point.

Timing belt renewal

Not willing to split car & spare parts New owner could probably easily sell all the parts
