1991 Volvo 240 Description

Selling a 1991 Volvo 240.
I had purchased this car last year from my co-worker who was the original owner. My son had wanted the car as a driving restoration project and he was interested in this car since it was being acquired from the original owner. The car is currently inspected and registered.
Over the course of ownership, it has become clear to us that we will not have time to work on a restoration of this car while he is in school. As such, we have decided to sell it.
When we had purchased it, the odometer had stopped working and has since been repaired. While the odometer indicates approximately 160K, the true mileage cannot be stated.
The car has the original window sticker & owners manual.
Prior to the sale the original owner fitted four new Michelin Defender tires on the car.
When you review the pictures, you will see that there are imperfections such as scratches, fading, nicks and pucks on the paint of this 25 year old Volvo. The only spot of rust I know of in this car is in the driver's side rear door sill (Shown in photo).
The air conditioner needs to be serviced and the sun roof may also need service. We have not used it and it doesn't leak when in it's current position. Additionally, the front right door speaker is not working.
The heater control has a very small range of control and heats the car well.
Since we acquired the car, we have already installed:
-New front Struts-New headlight assembly's-New Headlights-Replaced front turn signal housings-New antenna-New U-Joint's-New Center carrier bearing and bushing-Engine Mounts-Transmission mount
Additionally, during our ownership of this car we have acquired several parts from other 240's. The parts that come with this car are as follows:
- Replacement Dashboard assembly (With only one very small, 1 inch long, crack as pictured; in nice condition)- Glove Box Assy.- Steering column surround- (2) Center Consoles- Dash Trim pieces- Taillight assembly (Both Driver and Passenger sides )
People familiar with these cars will know that the dashboard installation should be about a 2 hour long process as it is very simple with the online help / guide. The only tools required were three torx drivers, a phillips head screw driver and a flat screwdriver.
The car has been driven somewhat regularly, and while we like the car, only you can decide if you like it as much as us. We invite inspections and or questions prior to bidding. The car is being sold in "as is" condition and it is up to any bidder to assess the condition of the car for themselves and any potential buyer is responsible for ensuring that they are happy with the condition.

If you are the winning bidder, you must pay a $200 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of the completion of the sale. This payment may be made through Paypal, although the balance is due in cash, or wire transfer within 5 business days. Bank checks will require clearance at my bank first and then the title and car will be released.
If a bank check is provided, I will provide a notarized sale agreement indicating that the car and title will be released upon the clearance of the funds.
The winning bidder will have three weeks, from the time of the funds clearing at my bank, to remove the car. Any other arrangements requiring more time must be jointly agreed upon prior to bidding.
The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time .
