1968 AMC AMX Description

1968 AMX. Factory 390 4 speed car. Believed to retain its complete original drivetrain, all date codes match up perfectly to the car. Solid Califorrnia car with all original body panels, floors, and trunk. No evidence of any body damage or rust repair anywhere. Optioned with power steering, power disc brakes, and 8 track stereo. Paint was refinished professionally about 10 years ago in its original color of "Rally Green." Always garaged since with limited miles. Engine and transmission were rebuilt and still retain the very rare California A.I.R. equipment. Nicely detailed underhood. Dual Exhaust was upgraded with Flowmaster mufflers. Interior is in excellent condition and refinished in black cloth. One of the seat plastic chrome pieces at recliner hinge has a section broke off, but it is purely cosmetic. All of the gauges work and are very nice with the exception of the Tachometer, the needle fell off. Dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. All of the glass is original including the windshield. Excellent shape throughout, no chips in windshield. You can tell this AMX has always been a nice car and not run through the ringer like so many others. Very solid car that runs superb and is quite fast and very fun to drive. The only made 2112 390 4 speed cars making this one rare car! Ready to enjoy!
