2001 Audi TT quattro convertible 1.8t manual. Bose sound! No reserve!
2001 Audi TT Description
Here it is! After much reluctance, I've finally decided to sellmy 2001 Audi TT Quattro convertible. Everything works as it should. The check engine light is on butI forget the exact code. It has something to do with the secondary injection system. However, there is no noticeable difference while driving it. It has a 1.8 turbocharged engine and has about 225 hp. The turbo works and this car really takes off. The convertible top works. The color scheme black on black is hard to find. One issueis that the heated seat function burned a quarter-sized hole in the drivers seat. However, I have read online that even though this is out of warranty,Audi may still replace the seat at no charge. however, we just relocated from Maryland last month and we have not had the time to contact the dealer to get this done. The new owner may be able to address this later. A lot of parts have been replaced on this. Too many to list. I installed an Audishort throw shifter, rebuilt the shifter mechanism and resynchronized it.The ABSmodule was replaced last year (very expensive part that usually fails on these). The alternator is only about 1 year old. The tires have about 50% tread so they may need to be replaced soon. The AC blows ice cold. The instrument cluster screenwas upgraded(these LCDs usually fail). The timing belt and head gasket were replacedabout 10,000 miles before I purchased it (which was about 30,000 miles ago) by the owner I purchased it from. Also, almost forgot the glove box latch is broken (common problem on these cars). However, the glove box latch can still be used and opened, it just cannot be locked. Last but not least, this has the upgraded Bose sound system! Questions are welcomed.
