Up for sale is my 2000 BMW 323i with 169,8xx miles. It's not my daily driver but I do drive it at least once a week, every week. It's been my project car, and I have completed a number of repairs and replacement of wear and tear items. It would be a fun car for an enthusiast to finish off. I just don't have the time anymore.
I've replaced: driver’s side window regulator, installed new coolant thermostat, installed new water pump, installed new radiator overflow tank, installed new valve cover gasket, all new ignition coils, all new NGK spark plugs, installed new upper and lower radiator hoses (with new lower sensor), installed new exterior temperature sensor, installed new interior center storage console (replaced the non functional cup holders with the very rare, roll top storage compartment-very nice touch, I think, but not shown in the pictures), new rear seat interior center storage console, brand new Halogen headlights (non-angel eyes), brand new front turn indicators, side indicator lights, brand new front lower left (driver's side) exterior trim piece, headrest (back seats and driver’s seat), BMW OEM radio/CD player, sun visors, side view mirrors (left & right-glass only) and battery.
I have also purchased but haven't installed a brand new Radiator and a brand new Transmission Oil Cooler (both parts sitting in the trunk ready for install). Should take about 3 hours install time, per my mechanic. I have a SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner that I would consider selling also. Connection cable and vehicle antenna included. It would need a separately purchased MediaBridge device (I do not have one) to complete the install. About 2 hours per mechanic.
The car has new-ish rims but could use new tires. I replaced both oxygen sensors (before the Cat) but they are not OEM Bosch and I believe these are the reason the check engine light is now on (error code via ODB connection).
Other items that are not 100%:
·Check Engine light (as mentioned above - error code via ODB connection)
·Airbag light – no airbags have been deployed, my mechanic says it simply need to be reset by someone with the proper BMW OEM reset tool.
·Seat belt light is on – BMW says it’s a common issue and can be rest by using a BMW OEM reset tool
·Overflow tank light – Part is new (June); the sensor is either faulty or needs to be adjusted. It’s tiny and plugs into the bottom of the overflow tank. The vehicle does not overheat.
·Has a small crack in the windshield - lower driver's side, does not obstruct outward view.
I would recommend that the new owner have the Oil changed, as it due.
Registration has been paid in full (expires August 2017). New owner will need to have it smogged, (My mechanic again states that the oxygen sensors are not functioning properly because they are not OEM).
Nice straight body, no major dents or scratches, all emblems and lights are intact, with very good tires and plenty of tread left on them. Fresh clean interior, clean and intact door panels, smells fresh, no funny odors. New owner will eventually want to replace both sets of A and C interior pillars covers. Both are showing wear.Cruise control is excellent and the A/C is ice cold. No DSC issues at all. Power sunroof (sunshade has been removed from vehicle). Tan leather seats (driver's seat is worn on the outboard side bolster). I have a full interior LED kit available, that I would sell separately. I also have exterior LED's for the front and rear turn indicators as well (not the side indicators). The clear coat is peeling on the roof, hood and sides.Rear seats fold down. Complete trunk lid mounted tool kit. Full size spare tire with vehicle matching rim. Jack and safety triangle in trunk. I do have a car cover and a secondary tool kit (flashlight, safety flares, wrenches, sockets, rain clothes, etc) in the trunk, I'm willing to sell this with the vehicle. Complete owner's manual and original BMW literature in glove box. Haynes repair manual thrown in for free.
It's ready for a new home. Car runs great, engine pulls strong and there are no control arm issues or brake problems. The vehicle does not overheat. I’ve driven it to Vegas/Phoenix and back and multiple trips from the Inland Empire to San Diego/Orange County/Los Angeles and back. This vehicle is being sold as is with no warranties or guarantees implied. Title and receipts in hand, asking $1,500 obo.
