2000 BMW M5 Base Sedan 4-Door Description
2000 BMW e39 M5Approx 148K miles
**Enthusiast Owned & Driven**Car has been maintained well, both mechanically & cosmetically! Very dependable daily driver. The car has been garaged most of its life. I've owned this car for the last 6 years and I love it, I'm only selling it to buy an X5 M.Has full leather dash and Alcantara headliner (in EXCELLENT condition). Title in hand. No wrecks, flood, water, hail, or any other type of damage. Car had PDR work done all over the entire car, but since has acquired a few small dings- nothing major! The reported accident through the report on eBay is NOT an accident. I claimed the rock chip damage on my insurance (as a claim), the hood, the fenders and the front bumper were resprayed.
The Good:- New lower windshield cowling (done with brake booster *Sep 2016*)- Brand new Brake Booster (Sep 2016)- H & R coilivers- 12.5 mm spacers in the front wheels- ABS module has been replaced with a rebuilt unit from Module Masters- Powerflex thrust arm bushings- Brand new plugs and valve cover gasket JUST done- Newer front tires- New OEM Bosch MAFS- New air filters- New intake CPS's- Magnaflow mufflers- New fuel pump & fuel pump relay- The front bumper, hood, and front fenders were re-sprayed (2011)- Newer drive belts- Front brakes were done less than 2 years ago- All electronic and audio system works- A/C blows COLD- On time oil changes- Power steering reservoir and 1 power steering hose replaced 2 years ago- Brand New battery (July-2016)- All 4 ABS sensors replaced- *VERY IMPORTANT* Both Vanos units removed and all O-rings replaced, and all connections to the board re-soldered- New OEM front and rear upper window moldings- Replaced driver side mirror glass- Rear diff was replaced with 80k mile used unit at 100k miles (NW AR BMW replaced diff (Spring 2012)- Fuel filter was replaced at 100k miles- Overall interior condition is very good, backseat has some scratching from my kids- Car has minimal dings and no major scratches (had all dings removed when I purchased car)- New OEM front and rear window seals- New rear tires (less than 500 miles)- - New oil level temp sensor
The Bad:- Back seats could use a re-dye (I will be using Doc Bailey's Leather Black before a sale)- Small crack on right side front bumper- Factory tape player does not work- Rearview mirror does have a bubble, no fluid leaking (been that way since I bought the car)- Normal rock chips in front bumper, but hood and fenders are very clean- OEM Shadow chrome wheels were painted Silver when I purchased the car 5 years ago (minimal curbing)- Headlights could use a replace or refinish- according to your preference.- Driver side headlight has broken adjusters- Rear anti rollbar I took off because bracket was broken, needs 1 new bracket- I suggest beast power bracket- In the rear suspension I've only replaced the wishbones, and upper guide links (rear suspension could eventually use a refresh)- SES light stays on due to the secondary air pump code (very common problem on 2000 e39 M5)- The actual secondary air pump has stopped working recently, but has nothing to do with the code)
Parts I've bought, but not installed (will come with car)------ New tie rods- OEM front strut mounts and bearings- New/used brake handle (parking brake does not engage)- New final stage resistor (hedgehog-- this will probably be replaced before sale)
I will sell it at a buy it now price for $12,500.00
