This is a clean, great running car. I've owned this car for seven years. I The car is garaged and has never been driven in the winter. I'm selling the car because I have four cars at the moment and I have recently purchased a different "fun car". I don't anticipate driving the M3 much anymore, so unfortunately, it makes sense to sell it.
The car has been maintained by the pros at Munich Motorsports in Windsor, who specialize in M3s. They are the best in the business.
I have spent a lot of money properly maintaining the car. It needs nothing. I guarantee it drives better than any other E46 on the market with more than 50,000 miles.
The car includes a custom tablet-based (Nexus 7) infotainment/navigation system. It's nicely installed in the dash. Looks and runs great. I even have it connected to the steering wheel controls. I also havre the original head unit and can re-install that if you aren't interested in the tablet.
Recent maintenance history:
2016 NEW SMG PUMP. The original finally needed replacement. This is a $4,000 job.
2016 Full fluid changes, new O2 sensor
2016 New Michelin Pilot Super-Sports (rears only)
2015 New Michelin Pilot Super-Sports
2015 New brakes (pads and rotors)
2014 Major preventative maintenance: Two months in the shop for rear subframe reinforcement and VANOS camshaft bolts - all critical preventative maintenance for this car. Do not buy an M3 unless you research the car's specific needs and plan/budget to have them addressed! This job costs about $6000-$7000 if properly done and all E46 M3s need this (otherwise you're risking your engine and your life).
2013 New starter and alternator
2013 BMW Inspection II (with valve adjustment)
The carfax has a report of an accident from the first owner. It must have been very minor because I had the car inspected before I purchased it and there was no evidence of any damage.
