Up for sale is my 2002 BMW E46 M3 Laguna Blue Seca convertible SMG edition:
Mechanical State: The car runs perfectly. No vibration, shake, or rattle. It idles super smooth as if it was a new car. Maintenance was always up-to-date (helps to have a friend whose a BMW specialist), oil was always changed at 3,000 miles using Castrol 10w/60 (factory BMW recommended). SMG transmission works as it should and has no issues. Can drive on Auto mode or manual mode, whatever you have the feel for. A/C runs cold, heater works, seat heaters, mechanics of the convertible top, radio and speakers, etc. all the usual stuff is in operating condition. Brake flush, oil change, tensioner pulley and belts were put in new a couple months ago.
Interior: Not the best, but not the worst - Driver's seat has a slit (as you can see on the pic). Nothing a reholstering could fix. Passenger seat has a tear on the side. Wear and tear on the center area by the shifter. Passenger side carpet a has stain from an unfortunate spill the previous owner did, passenger carpet is not OEM (although I still have it). Other than that, the interior is very much acceptable for a 14 year old car. Dash and console are in highly acceptable condition.
Exterior: Bad - It has a couple light scratches on the driver and passenger side doors. There's a scratch on bottom of the BMW emblem on the hood. Front bumper driver side has scratches. There's a very small clear coat fade by the driver's side mirror and the passenger door handle. 2-3 small dings on the body. Wheels have some curb rash.. Headlights and tail lights have very minimal fade.
Good - Car looks very acceptable and clean after a nice wash and wax, never an accident (to my knowledge), scratches are barely visible, all light bulbs are functional. I am confident it could look fresh and refined after a nice detail from an experienced detailer.
Additional notes: The car was hardly driven since purchasing it in 2004. It was never raced or used in any competitive automotive event. Only two mods were installed: K&N Intake kit (CARB legal, see the pic of CARB sticker), and strut bar (German brand). Tires have a considerable amount of tread life left.
Car will be sold as-is, a signed Bill of Sale will be required before signing the title over. Buyer responsible for transportation/shipping and fees involved.
