2001 BMW 5-Series 525iAT Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very hard to find 2001 BMW 525i Touring with just 105k miles. As you can see, this is a gorgeous wagon. It is finished in Topaz Blue over Gray, which is a gorgeous color combination. The bright blue finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this BMW, the worst thing I can point out are a few marks on the rear bumper, including a noticeable scrape mark on the left corner. Overall, not bad for an older car. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the exterior trim and cladding are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Pirelli's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photo's carefully to see how clean this rare wagon looks. I would also rate the interior of this 525iT to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and show well for their age throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. Both front seats are heated. The leather seats are supple, clean and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors, driver's seat and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The audio system is the original AM/FM stereo with CD, which appears to be working and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It is too cold to be able to personally verify whether or not the air conditioner is working effectively, but I can tell you that the heater is working well. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The original cargo cover / partition is still present and working properly. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Over harsh bumps, you can feel a little wear in the front ball joints, which is common at this age, so you'll probably wind up replacing the lower control arms in the not too distant future. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. If you've been looking for a 5 Series wagon, you know how hard they are to find...let alone finding one that hasn't been driven to the moon and back. This is your chance to jump on a rare car in a rare color that has just 105k miles. You're not likely to pass an identical one anywhere you drive. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
