There is NO CHECK ENGINE light on, has not come on and no reason it should. The car is very solid.
The interior is excellent, less than typical wear, no rips or cracking in the leather. Rear seats looks like they've never been sat in. Great stereo. Its a nice place to be.
The exterior is in good condition and the paint looks fantastic with the real deep shine to it, but it does have some flaws. There is rust starting on the passenger side ground effect, the corner right before the rear wheel. The common bmw spot. No rot. See photo
There are a few small chips, dents and dings on the car, drivers door, hood edge and scratches that have been touched up on the rear passenger door.

The motor and transmission are fantastic. The car drives beautifully. This is my second manual 540 sport (the other car was identical) and every time I get behind the wheel debate keeping it for myself. Its THAT nice of a driving car. Handles great, plenty of power, and the ride quality is unmatched. The car was built very well from the factory.
Recent work includes ball joints, oil change, a new battery and the taillights upgraded the the red and whites.
The car has a slight exhaust leak, very slight, it has not made the check engine light come on and there is no loss of power/smoothness.
Depending on where the steering wheel is pointed when started, the airbag light may come on - The car has not been hit, believed to be a spring.
The front license plate bracket and trim is not pictured but is included. It was removed to mount a European plate.
