This Dinan Supercharged 5 started life as a FULLY LOADED TOP OF THE LINE 540ia. The original owner went all out, and his enthusiasm and mission to build the most amazing, one of a kind 5 series has definitely been met, to the tune of OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN RECEIPTS!
The goal was to build a car that could be driven normal, any day of the week, alone or with the family, yet outhandle, stop, turn and out accelerate your local porsche or corvette owner that thought they were fast..until you put that right foot down, and should you decide to push the boundaries, even on a road course this car will do what needs to be done, and do it well!
When Dinan created this 2 decades ago, vehicles with this exact setup EASILY broke 180mph, yes, ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MILES PER HOUR 2 decades ago, yet the car drives like a stock one till u ask for the 500+ supercharged V8 horses to bust through the gates and hit the streets running!
Just for comparison to other vehicles, this car did/does 0-60 in around 4 seconds, quarter mile in just over 12 seconds and top speed of nearly 185mph, and will stop and handle like it should for a car of this magnitude, all while being in a luxurious 4 door car that spares nothing as far as creature comforts, heated seats dash and steering wheel for cold days, and ice cold air conditioning for the hot days, as well as multi way power seats and more ergonomic adjustments for the driver than many cars of today, these are arguably the best years EVER MADE, and that would make this THE BEST OF THE BEST!
And, if u know BMWS well, you may be asking what about the drivetrain, and especially differential, they come open diff, that would be horrible with gobs of power, well, you're right, it would be, BUT, this car has the top of the line hyper locking always posi traction Dinan differential, mounts and axles, how much did that amazing setup cost, yeah, receipts included for that NINE THOUSAND DOLLAR top of the line setup, and THAT'S JUST THE DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTS AND AXLES... Trans was went through, high performance parts were added as well as a heavy duty torque converter and put back together to complete the drivetrain in this bulletproof super sedan!
This car was bought, built, maintained and owned by ONE MAN FROM ITS ORIGINAL PURCHASE UP TILL LAST YEAR, I will include ALL receipts and documentation with purchase of car, this car isn't something you'll ever find again, I've been dealing with exotics and sports cars for 20 years THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST CAR THIS WELL SETUP AND DOCUMENTED I'VE EVER SEEN!
CLEAN CLEAR TITLE AND CARFAX REPORT, STUNNING CONDITION ALMOST LOOKS LIKE THE CAR IS PHOTOSHOPPED IN PERSON, IT'S THAT NICE!
Supercharged fast and strong great paint and interior ALL new brakes, calipers, upgraded pads & rotors, wheel bearings, spindals, ball joints, shocks and springs, all JUST DONE IN LAST YEAR, as well as RIMS also are a year old with new tires.
Although no expense was spared originally, the original radio was just not up to the times, so as always in this cars life, no expense was spared again to install a custom made touchscreen am/fm/cd/dvd/mp3 in dash navigation with bluetooth, AND, YES, ALL THE ORIGINAL CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL STILL WORK AND THE RADIO IS IN STOCK LOCATION AND APPEARS STOCK!
Full Dinan exhaust and strut tower bars, braces and sway bars are all on this vehicle, along with LITERALLY tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff I'm sure I left out, but, if u know what you're looking at, you know this is a ONE OFF BEST OF EVERYTHING NO EXPENSE SPARED CLASSIC THAT WILL ONLY GO UP IN VALUE! I'm sure that there are tons more I forgot to list, but last year suspension was freshened up, new control arms, spindles, sway bars links, new struts, shocks and springs, all Bilstein Sport Top of the line with matching Springs to keep the ride and handling like it should be, the old ones were getting up in years, so as always, no expense spared on anything EVERYTHING was done. Also forgot to mention it does have braided race steel competition brake hoses all-around as well as cross drilled and slotted rotors to stop this car as fast and steady as it goes, I took a few pics just now, NO, this car hasn't been detailed or cleaned, so you'll see how nice it looks underneath for a car that's never been cosmetically refurbished underneath. Also has the top of the line setup Dinan created to match setup sway bars, the front sway bars are thicker than my 2016 Brembo Track pack competition edition GT Mustang, it's very impressive bumper to bumper even by 2017 standards!
