The BMW Z8 is one classy ride. Seriously, look at it. With the top down, the Z8 is easily one of the most gorgeous looking vehicles ever made. ...Well lucky you! This gorgeous (and R-A-R-E) vehicle can be yours!(And Hey, it was good enough for JAMES BOND!) So, when you drive a Z8, you end up in automobile situations that don't happen when you're driving a regular car. Check this out LA GuySo here we are (my wife and I), a couple days before Christmas, driving on the 101 Southbound right around Universal Studios. I look in my rearview and notice this dude behind me in an E55 AMG who was aggressively changing lanes behind me. "I mean, I expect this kind of behavior from Audi drivers (Who, for some reason, really need to PROVE to everyone on the road that not only are their cars capable of going fast, but they are also the least qualified people in the world to be at the control of such power), rather than your typical blue-blooded hip-hop star Mercedes driver who drives too damn slow."Anyway, we're in traffic and eventually he catches up. He pulls up next to us, keeps looking over and keeps trying to get our attention. So, he rolls down his window, and he's illegally on his cell phone with his accountant or something, then he starts yelling at us that he'll give us $150,000 for the car right then and there. While we politely declined his offer, I may have been tempted if he threw in the E55 as part of the deal, but I digress. So yeah, that was an interesting moment, and one moment I've never experienced behind the wheel of any other car! Moral of the story: This Z8 Gets You Exciting, Unsolicited Cash Offers! How does it feel to drive? The Z8 is a real joy to drive, and this is coming from someone with absolutely no authority on the subject! What I do know is this: We've Driven Both. What Do You Think? Driving By A McLaren Dealer BTW: Did James Bond Ever Drive A McLaren? What It Looks Like With a Badass Tattoo Chick and iPhone 6 Down The 101 in California We Didn't Need It. You get to touch this every time you drive it! Z8 Facts James Bond drives one in 1999's "The World is Not Enough" There were only 5703 ever made, and of those, only 2543 were produced for America. This car has the 4.9L "S62" engine from the same era's (E39) M5. It's good for about 400 horsepower and 370 ft-lb. of torque. 0-60 Time was claimed at 4.7 seconds by BMW itself. Car & Driver successfully achieved a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds! Zee Chermans are so humble! Car & Driver says the Z8 out-performed the Ferrari 360 Modena in Acceleration, Braking and Handling. You may want to date an Italian, but you can't go wrong marrying a German. The exterior was designed by Henrik Fisker. I wish I had a photo of the one time I parked it next to a Fisker Karma! (Link to Wikipedia article about the Karma) The Z8's engine has VTEC! OK, not quite. BMW calls their system "VANOS", and the S62 engine was the first from BMW to have variable valve timing technology. Common Sense Pro-tip: Anything not pictured is unlikely to be included!
This car is 15 years old and has about 24,000 miles on it, and doesn't show like a brand-new car (But you're rich, and probably not stupid, so you already know to expect that). I know this is a collector car, and everyone wants one in mint condition. There are other Z8s for sale right now at over $300,000 that would be perfect for you, and I encourage you to look at those if you want a turnkey flawless car. Regardless, bringing this car to mint condition would not be difficult. Here are all of the known issues with this car. Also, please see every single picture on z8forsale.com to get an idea of the car's condition. We can provide more photos on request, just ask!
