Definition.. "LIMOUSINE STYLE" The hearse has glass all around, like a station wagon or a min van. The rear quarters of the roof are not covered over withvinylmaterialwith thetraditional"LANDAU BAR" chrome "S" bar raking at a slant. Glass quarter windows allows viewing of the casket and flowers as it passes by. This can be appreciated in funeral like "MICHAEL JACKSON" and "WHITNEYHOUSTON'S" funeral to where the public wants to see the casket as the hearse passes by just like the old horse drawn hearses. Lately in the last 3 to 5 years, "LIMOUSINE STYLE" hearses are making a comeback with some rather creative styling.
Being a "LIMOUSINE" style the casket bay is more airy and more open feel. This particular hearse never has any type of drapes but it is possible to do so with some creativity. Even a light shear see threw panels with the funeral homes name on a chrome plaque could be nice! This is a very unique look, not like the competitor mortuaries for sure.
This 2001 Cadillac hearse is very clean,very straight, never wrecked or abused and always garaged at night and get this,It just turned 34,000 "ORIGINAL MILES" Thats just a tad over 2,000 miles per year since new. Always maintained by a fullon-sightmaintenancecrew.
This hearse rides straight up with nosqueaks, rattles orunusualnoise. All doors close as the should. The beautiful bluePeriwinklepaint is an eye catcher for sure. Very classy with just a few nicks from 15 years of service with one corner bump on rear bumper. The vinyl top is the elk graindesignfinished in matching metallic blue and in great shape!
The interior is nice, not worn or abused. Beautiful leather 6 way power seats with recliner, center arm rest with storage & lower storage compartment, large cup holders, tilt wheel, cruise control, delay cycle wipers. Dual heated power mirrors, auto dim interior mirror with compass, lighted vanity mirrors. Dual climate zone air conditioningand heating along with Am/Fm/CD/Cassette stereo. Power operated partition window just like the ones in limousines and many more features.
The mechanical portion of the Krystal hearse consist of heavy duty suspension, 8 lug cast wheels, white wall tires, full size spare & jack. All lighting functions as itshould. Underthe hood isCadillac'sexclusive "NORTHSTAR" power house V-8 transverse engine with smooth overdrive transmission. No cooling issues, quiet exhaust, starts right up and ready to go!
Casket bay is to die for!! Light wood like flooring, chrome framed rollers, skid plates, bier pin track and bier pins. Headliner is not torn or marked with damage. The thick heavyduty blue sidewall fabric panels, bulkhead & trim are in great shape, not beat up or torn..
Over all, this is a very unique, quiet cleandistinctcar that will not bemistakenfor the neighboring town or competitors hearse. Upgrade to newer fleet forces the sale of this hearse..So its has been opted to hand over the keys to someone who would appreciate a nice, rust free, one California owner hearse that has never seen a salted road in its life!
