Up for sale is my Classic 1968 Cadillac Eldorado OVERHAULED 472 BB V8 375hp 525 lbs-ft torque..31,673 miles on original working odometer. As of now I ran out of time space and money to complete the restoration. I have over 15 grand in labor alone in This 68 Cadillac Eldorado. Lack of funds forces sale... It's almost complete. I do have all the trim pieces and rocker panels to complete and will be included with sale. needs finish work, better wheels. (tires have 90% tread) If it does not sell at my asking price I will just enjoy finish and sell for 5x my asking price. The word around the camp fire is that this body style Eldorado may continue to sky rocket in value. (some expertsestimateit's value could reach 200k in about 10 years)When done completely pristine this Eldorado is valued at over 50k Today and will continue to climb in value. I also have a un restored 1967 Eldorado 429 V8 I may be willing to part with as well...
1968 Cadillac Eldorado candy rootbeer less then 800 miles since engine overhauled..Engine runs very quit (engine bay)the way it should. You do hear the 472 growl out the dual exhaust.The Brakes work very well however the front right Brake rotor disc has some grooves on one side. (has the disc brake option) Newer brake pads. Whencruisingaround in this Caddy the fresh 472 big blockCadillacpower plant makes every bit of the 375 hp feeling the 525 lbs-ft torque come on early and trough the band. It feels like enough torque to bring down theChryslerbuilding. This is true classic Cadillac.
No cracks on the Dash Interior is in good shape. some gauges still need tinkeringspeedometerworks as it should, headlights open and close, Head light twilight settings still work. needs radioantenna, blinkers work, front fenderindicatorswork. The head liner is newer and in good shape however could be reinstalled better.
The paint used is very expensive, the base coat alone was about $895 a gallon. This big caddy needed 2 gal 4 after reduced. using the superefficient Iwatasuper novals400 hybrid HVLP world class guns, Gold cap Gun for base and PlatinumGun for clear.. 100s of hours in body work - paint. It sill needs a bit of finish work to be worth 5x my asking price.
