This 1938 Chevrolet convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1938 was great year for the Chevrolet company thanks some new styling cues that finally caught on from the year before. Although it was not cheap, 22 million in 37, it would prove to be worth the gamble. The design would basically go unchanged from 37 until the War broke out. Some believe that if that had not happened the design would have stayed around a lot longer. This beautiful example is a rare find, with sales cut in half that year due to a recession that was not that many Chevrolets sold let alone convertibles. The dark burgundy paint is good condition with some signs of aging but the finish itself was done properly. The period correct wheels look excellent with the custom painted hubcaps giving it a slight custom touch. Swing open the door and you will see a very nice interior with its tan bench seat taking up the whole cab. Though you can fit probably 3 comfortably in there, once they get a ride in the rumble seat you will have to beg someone to sit up there with you. Flip the classic split hood and you will see a massive straight six that sounds as good as it looks. With a dual carburetor set up you should never have to worry about not getting enough fuel. With the Canvas top looking as if it was put on a couple days ago the car looks excellent with it up. Put it down though and you can already tell the fun factor goes up to a whole other level. If you want a great car that runs drives and will most likely not see at your next car show look no further. Options on this 1938 Chevrolet Convertible include; Convertible Top Manual, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Radial Tires.
