Here is the 100% honest truth and back ground on the car.
Previously had a WS6 and wanted a car that was better, so I decided on a corvette C5.
I looked at 2 C5s locally, one with 60k and one with 90k, but neither appealed to me.
I found out quick miles didn't matter it was who cared for it, so I came across this one.
This car I purchased from the original owner, an 85 year old man.
He had it build how he wanted it new off the assembly line.
I have everything that would have come with it new.
This includes the Original window sticker, original build sheet, owner’s manual that's complete even has the corvette pen.
Three keys and one keyless entry fob.
The car also comes with 1999 Corvette Factory Owner's Service Training Video, Building the Next Corvette-Sales Portfolio and 1999 Corvette Dealer's Book.
I will include both tops for it, one glass roof top and a paint matched roof top.
These tops are in flawless condition.
The car has factory option magnesium wheels (code N73) Bronze Magnesium Speedline wheels, made in Italy (These are light!)
Also features dual power seat and dual climate control.
This guy was crazy meticulous about the car. It's never been taken through a car wash, and has been hand washed its entire life.
The car was always buffed and waxed twice a year using only Zaino products.
The paint is in immaculate condition, no sun fade/clear pealing nothing.
It always got GM/AC Delco parts or the best replacement.
It was mostly serviced at GM dealers and I have a written log of everything that was done to the car, from washing and oil changes to cleaning out the radiator and replacing drive train components and so on.
I have stacks of paper work from a wiper blade to a front spindle.
Original GM glass, all original body and all drive train numbers match.
Other notable things the previous owner did: the car has an optima red top battery and also has a RPM Transmission t56.
The old man had the car trailered to rpm and had the transmission rebuilt after having the concern from the first gear popping out.
This means the transmission is original match numbers. The paper work also shows this car having the differential serviced.
Here's the down fall of the car.
Mileage: The guy drove it. He would start in Detroit and drive it to California and follow all corvette cruise and meets all summer long. So I bought it with 156k, but my god you would never know. When I purchased the car I did heads and cam it was the cleanest engine I've ever seen. Cross hatch fully intact. Piston tops clean. Cam and lifters were glass. My ls1 ws6 had 90k and was surprisingly worse. So, the car has miles on it, that's one down fall is the physical number of miles.
This goes hand in hand with the car showing some road wear and a few touch up spots. I have close ups of all the spots on my phone and can text them.
The only other con I can say is I cracked a small hole in the passenger fender.
I have the entire fiberglass parts to have it fixed and I was quoted $150 by a local body shop.
I picked up an entire second fender that's OEM GM, but it is black and would need paint. This comes with.
Honestly the spot never bothered me after a few weeks
That is the 2 honest cons.
Everything else is 100% functional to the best of my knowledge.
Car has always had Mobil 1 and AC Delco or Mobil 1 oil filters.
After seeing internal parts, I'm sold on Mobil 1.
Car is tuned on HP tuners. Them cam is very daily driver friendly.
