1999 Chevrolet Corvette Base Coupe 2-Door Description

1999 Corvette Chevrolet Coupe with smoke glass hard top AND red hard top

I purchased this car in June 2014 and have had a great time owning it.I am selling the car to buy a different toy. Before passing this car over for high miles, this car had the transmission rebuilt by the previous owner(He owns the Carquest Auto Parts store in Murphy NC, and took fantastic care of this car).I have receipts on the transmission rebuild at approximately 130000 miles. He shared with me what all he did to make it better the transmission better than original. Also he noted that many of these cars will need a transmission rebuild between 120K and 140K miles. This car already has that done! Also, these cars had an issue with the steering column locking up and disabling the car.An aftermarket fix corrected that and has been installed already.A new radiator was installed in 2013 with receipt included. Also a complete set of receipts on the transmission rebuild in September 2013 are included from the previous owner(the CarQuest owner).Included in the pictures is a paper with technical information written down about the transmission rebuild.Behind the doors on the exterior of the car you will notice the Z06 Style Rear Scoops. These are not real.I installed them because I thought they looked good. They are stuck on and are removable if you so desire. The interior is in overall good condition. As usual, the driver’s seat is worn all the way through at the usual spot on the seat back area closest to the door. The affected area is about two inches long. The heat and air work exactly as they should, although sometimes the fan squeaks when turning the fan on.I have found if I turn the fan off and then back on a few times, it will stop.If you examine the picture showing the bottom of the drivers seat, you will notice that the black plastic beauty plate with the seat adjustment buttons on it is broken. The seat adjustment buttons all work but the bar hangs away from the seat further than it should.Theorange gear selector does not move with the gear shift. While the gear shift moves the car into gear perfectly, the small orange plastic gear indicator has become unattached from the gear selector. The car comes with TWO tops, a red hard top AND a smoke glass top(It actually appears to be made from a hard plastic material of some kind, but durable though)The exterior of the vehicle has had very good car taken of it.The car has no dents or dings on it, however, if one gets down very low under the passenger side door, one will see a scrape that has been repaired with touch up paint.Again, you must kneel down in order to view this slight damage. I have taken a picture of that area so look carefully and you can see it.Under the hood appears largely stock and unremarkable. The previous owner did mount a double K&N air filter kit on the car.It looks nice and lets in a bit more air.I am 46 and particular with my cars( I have a 1980 Trans Am Bandit Car, and a vintage 1971 Land Cruiser as well) and I have driven this car with care.It has been garaged it’s entire time with me.The car comes with two keys and a FOB that locks, unlocks, and opens the rear hatch. The previous owner purchased and installed the Motegi Racing Wheels, which I thought looked great and made the car look like a later model car. They have performed perfectly. The car has the run-flat style tires installed which are original equipment for the 1999 Corvette.Everything in the car works as it should except the HUD display. It stopped functioning a few months ago. The vehicle has a 12 CD Changer in the trunk and it works great. The car manual is included with the Corvette leatherette cover it originally came in.I have the clear title in hand.My name is Aaron and my cell is 42three, five0five, 2onesevenseven.Call or text if you have an additional question.
