2001 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 LT Sport Utility 4-Door 6.0L
2001 Chevrolet Suburban lt Description
Let me start by saying that I love this suburban. It is very dependable but it is time to let it go. I just recently completed a 5,000 mile trip to South Dakota and back and it was fully loaded (kids and camping equipment). It handled well except we had a blow out on one of the rear tires. We bought the two rear tires you see on the photos and one verydescent spare tire which is underneath. I have three kids and the suburban showed me that something smaller is notsomething I want I just want something newer since it would replace our main daily driver.
The suburban has a 6.0 gasoline engine with a heavy duty transmission that runs well. The motor does have a ticking noise when you first start up which I've learned is normal for 6.0. She has a new radiator, water pump, brakes, and just had the fuel filter changed out. The Suburban runs good it just needs two front tires with one of the front tires starting to become bumpy. I'll let the new owner replace those. I do have a spare underneath and i have an extra tire without a rim that i will throw in but it is just as good as the current front tires.
The exterior paint is ok and in some parts there is clear coat starting to fade. The area behind the rear tires are dented from previous Tire blow outs (both sides). The Suburban had some of the smoky window trims that fell off and parts of those pieces are still seenon the door frame but you can barely tell. Seats and carpet are indescent shape to exclude some stains of fingernail polish and who knows what else on some of the rear seats, thank my kids:( There is one small tear on the front passenger seat which is in the photographs.
There is no radio and I haven't replaced it since i owned it about 4 years ago. I just never wanted to spend the money on it.....and talking with the wife and kids is better than the radio anyway. One negative thing is that the truck does show its age now andagain like the A/C compressor acting week on occasion. The A/C works really cold and works better than myother newer cars. The only time the A/C is an issue is when we are at idle and it seems to not cool as much but still cools somewhat. Once you start to move it gets ice cold. Sometimes at idle the A/C temp never changes and there is no issue. I was told the compressor was theculprit. Really has not been an issue for me but i just want to give you full disclosure.
It has the tow package with the connection for the lights. I think that is about it.
I'm sure I forgot something but you can always ask me any questions if i missed anything. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere except for the front tires which might cause a problem for some people. I wouldn't mind driving it my self since it has a spare and you can always mount the extra tire i'm throwing in on the road if need be. I think it might need a front end alignment as well but i'm not sure it needs it or the front tires are toblame. Who knows.
Anyway, good biding and don't forget to compare this Suburban with others oneBayand you'll see that these things go for many many miles and are expensive. She has a lot of life left in her. Good luck biding and i onlyaccept cash.
