1965 Corvair Corsa Convertible with RARE FACTORY A/C
1965 Chevrolet Corvair Description
I am selling my last and most cherished Corvair my 1965 Corsa Convertible with RARE FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING!! I have owned this car for over 11 years and it has been stored in a climate controlled garage. Prior to my purchasing this car a physician had owned it and had it supposedly restored it to match the colors of his Lexus. When I purchased it from a Corvair enthusiast in Texus there was some rust popping back through from the repaint. It has rust in the passenger side rocker, both lower front fenders and doors but by no means is this car a rust bucket. It will an easy restoration if done properly. Currently it has paint is popping off and the original paint is underneath. This car was originally Blue on Blue with a white top. The top is in good condition and I have a new white top that comes with it. The interior is a reproduction set from Clarks Corvair and is in excellent condition. The original hurst 4speed shifter works great but the rear end does leak and needs new axel seals. The 140hp 4 carb engine runs great and the FACTORY AIR will freeze you out. The original am/fm radio is still there as well as there is an aftermarket am/fm/cd player which is mounted under the dash. In addition I have an extra rebuilt 140 hp engine with a newly rebuilt set of four carbs to put on it. I prefer to sell it all as a package but if the buyer doesn't want the extra engine I will sell them separately and lower the price on the car. I also have some nos emblems, an a/c evaporator, some extra Corsa dashes, and other Corvair parts that I am also going to sell. The only reason I am selling my baby is due to health issues and the need to pay medical bills.
In the photos the car has my 14" GTO Raylle wheels on it. These do not come with the car. I have the original 13" rims with the factory Corsa hubcaps that will be on the car. I will be adding more photos in the next couple of days.
On Apr-28-16 at 16:21:37 PDT, seller added the following information:There have been several questions about the a/c system being original to the car. If it was added later it was done using all factory parts. The compressor is a Sandesen but it bolt up to the original brackets. The condenser is from a 66 model which is much better than the one used on the 65 models. The hubcaps on the car are 14" Chevy magstyle wheel covers but my GTO rally's are underneath them. Like I stated in the ad I'm putting the original wheels back on it but if the buyer wants the 14" magstyle wheel covers as well I will throw them into the deal but I'm keeping the 14" rims as I still have my GTO.The VIN # is 107675w205413. Please send me a message if you have any questions. I'm getting the car back out of storage tomorrow (Friday) and will be adding more photos then. Thanks, Bob
