2001 Chevrolet Suburban LT Autoride Description

This 2001 Chevrolet Suburban LT Auto Ride with all options available in 2001 was purchased by my best friends daughter when she lived in Texas. I purchased the vehicle from my friend after his daughter passed away several years go. It continues to be a good daily driver and it best performs when on road trips. It has been used for travel all over the US, mainly to visit thrift stores and antique malls to locate treasurers that can be restored and resold by my housemate, who does that a lot for his living. When the second row seats are folded into the floor, and the 3rd row seat removed, it has the largest of all SUV inside carrying space, along with the roof rack for extra items, and has the capability of pulling a large trailer for additional hauling. It is a great vehicle for all types of individual or family usage.

2001 Chevrolet Suburban: The king of the full-size sport utility vehicles is riding high into 2001 carried by the momentum generated by the debut of the all-new Chevrolet Suburban in 2000. For 66 years, Suburban has been theindustry's longest-running nameplate, car or truck, on the road.
NEW FOR 2001: In keeping with tradition, the 2001 Suburban comes in three models. The one here for sale is the Automatic 4X4 LT 1500 with Autoride.
2001 also sees improvements to the engine lineup. The dependable Chevrolet 5.3L V8 is standard in the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban LT with Autoride..

MORE COMFORT:

BODY STRÚCTÚRE —'The key to comfort, is structure, the '1500 Series Suburban's frame is fully boxed for added structural stiffness to reduce vibration, squeaks and rattles. Hydroforming was used in strategic places to eliminate welds, add strength and improve dimensionalcontrol. Not only is the Suburban's impressive frame strong, the low step-in height and wide doors allow for easier access than the previous model. Customers have the choice between a liftgate or rear cargo doors in which this one has the lift gate with the separate rear glass opening as well.
INTERIOR COMFORT— Suburban is famous for its wide-open spaces. For 2001, the instrument panel and cup holders have been improved.

SEATING COMFORT— Renown for its luxurious accommodations, the Suburban's seats provide improved seatback angles, longer seat travel and added safety belt length versus the previous design to better fit each customer's individual size. This vehicle includes leather seats with the full-function uplevel seat with power adjustments, memory, power lumbar and heat settings.
CLIMATE CONTROL— The Suburban's spacious interior on LT models is cooled by a premier air conditioning system that maintains optimal continuous cabin temperature. Additionally, on LT models, electronic dual zone climatecontrols allow passengers to maintain two different temperature levels in the cabin.
COOL TÚNES— Another way to stay cool in the 2001 Suburban is to crank up its premium audio system to transform its spacious interior into a road-going entertainment center. 'And if the kids don't appreciate your taste in music, there are audiocontrols and headphone jacks in the back.
MORE CAPABLE THAN BEFORE

Suburban's hard-earned reputation as a workhorse continues in 2001 wîth abundant cargo space. With the rear seats removed, it can fit a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood on the load floor wîth the doors closed.
POWER— This V8 is teamed to the highly durable and 'smart' four-speed electronicallycontrolled automatic transmission.
TRAILERING KING— No other non-GM full-size SÚV can match Suburban's legacy for pulling-power wîth up to 12,000 lbs., when properly equipped. Towing features include pre-wired trailering connections and brakecontroller jumper harness. There is a Tow/Haul Mode to eliminate shift 'busy-ness' on hilly terrains and dynamic rear proportioning that maximize Suburban's rear brakes while trailering.
SIGNIFICANT TRAILER TOWING FEATÚRES INCLÚDE:

This vehicle is equipped with Autoride 'Real Time Damping' Suspension — this fully automatic system utilizes information from wheel position sensors, steering and other sensors to continuously vary shock damping. In addition, electronic sensorscontrol a compressor pump that keeps the rear of the vehicle level when towing.
SÚRPRISINGLY CAR-LIKE RIDE— The Suburban's independent front torsion bar suspension is something more commonly found on high-end sports sedans. The 2001 Suburban offers advanced vehiclecontrol applications.. On this four-wheel drive model, the Autotrac active transfer case automatically transfers torque to the front wheels on demand. With standard variable effort steering on 1500-Series four-wheel drives, parking lot maneuvers are no big deal for Suburban.
MORE CONFIDENT THAN BEFORE
SAFETY AND SECÚRITY - There's standard four-wheel disc antilock brakes and front seat side-impact air bags, a feature not standard on any other non-GM full-size sport utility. For added security, Suburban offers a driver lockout prevention system with programmable automatic locking and unlocking doors. And for peace-of-mind out on the road, there's GM's available factory installedOnStar™ system to make sure someone can be there, whenever and wherever needed. Call 1-800-ONSTAR-7 for system limitations and details.
