1999 Chevrolet Tahoe - over $1,200 in recent maintenance!!
1999 Chevrolet Tahoe 4dr LS Description
Howdy, eBayers! I have for sale my loyal Golden Goose, a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 2WD with 'round about 105k miles on its iron-heart 5.7L Vortec V8. She needs a little bit of tender, loving care, but is otherwise perfectly fine to drive as-is. Perfect as a tow rig, ranch truck, deer lease rig, racer chaser (see picture), or just driving to and fro.
I'm officially the third owner - my father purchased this vehicle from the original owner for my use in September 2012, and the title was transferred to me in June 2016 - however, I am only the second regular driver. No wrecks or bodywork have been reported on CarFax, and no wrecks or bodywork have happened on my watch. Oil has always been changed approximately every 5k miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic.
On the exterior, there's a few nicks, dings, and scratches, as well as a decent bit of paint fade on the hood and roof, but there's nothing really worth going to your safe space - especially on a 17-year-old mall crawler. Interior is mostly solid, with the exception of a case of the dreaded '90s GM dash (see pictures) and only one working stereo speaker.
Recent maintenance includes:
- New fuel pump - 10 Nov.
- Fresh rear brake service (new cylinders and shoes, repacked wheel bearings, as well as fresh brake fluid) - 21 Oct.
- Fresh differential fluid change with new gasket - 21 Oct.
- New ACDelco starter motor - 22 Sep.
- New battery with 3-year warranty - 5 Sep.
Almost all service records and receipts dating back to my purchase are included, and are available for inspection upon request.
Notable imperfections include:
- A couple small spots of rust on the roof (see pictures)
- Leaky a/c compressor - will not hold a charge, but a/c DOES WORK when you charge it
- Blower motor rarely works - could just be a $5 resistor
- Runs quite rich and a little rough at idle, but smooths out at above 800-900 rpm - new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor at 96k miles didn't solve the problem
- Service Engine Soon light is illuminated and throws P1345 (crankshaft/camshaft correlation fault) and P0300 (random/multiple cyl. misfire; see above)
- Half of dash cover is missing (see text above and pictures); thank you, Corpus sun and '90s GM plastic!
Price is $2,500 or best reasonable offer. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close, with the remaining balance due IN CASH seven (7) days after auction close. She comes with two keys, one remote, and (as mentioned above) almost all service records/receipts I've accumulated through my ownership. Clean and clear Texas title is in my name, and is inspected and registered through April 2017. A clean AutoCheck report is available in the "Vehicle History" tab above. Miles may go up slightly due to local test drives and occasional daily driving.
Please call or text me at (361) 244-2365 for any inquiries or to schedule a time to see the rig; as I'm usually busy during the day, feel free to leave a voicemail if you call. Thanks and gig 'em!
