1982 Crossfire Injected Chevrolet Corvette
1982 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Up for auction is a 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. My wife and I bought the car 6 years ago in Ohio and drove it about 350 miles to our home in Southern Indiana. My wife had always liked the 1982's and it was the last year for this body style. The car needed some work when we got it home and I have been upgrading it ever since. The new tires and brakes only have about 1500 miles on them. It has a new master cylinder and alternator, installed this year. I think the car has been repainted by one of the previous owners but there are a few nicks and scratches in the paint. The car drives good and rides like a corvette, The air conditioner blows cold and the heat works great. The engine and tranny are original but leak some oil. (a few spots on the garage floor every time she drives it.)I installed new plugs and wires in the car when we bought it and adjusted the crossfire injection. The engine starts up fine and does not smoke. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts great but is a little rough when you first put it in drive. We keep the car in storage during the winter and bring it to the house during the summer months for my wife to drive the 8 miles to and from work. The Corvette has factory air, electric windows and locks, electric drivers seat, tilt steering wheel, mirrored T-tops and leather seats. The car is very dependable and a blast to drive. We have 2 kids in college and the wife maybe put 150 miles on it last year. Time to clean out the toys!!! If you are looking for a super fast muscle car in showroom condition than this one is not for you. The car is 34 years old and is not perfect. The crossfire injection engine was never the speed demon that Chevrolet hoped for. It does however have plenty of power for the all fiberglass body and it sounds good driving down the road. Its a Saturday night cruising car for going out to dinner with the wife or girlfriend. People constantly come up to the car in parking lots and ask about it. I will be happy to answer any questions about the car and you are welcome to come inspect and drive it prior to bidding. I will require a $500.00 deposit through PayPal within 24 hours of a winning bid and the remainder paid with cash or cashiers check before or during pick up. I can work out other arrangements but you will have to contact me before auction ends. I can also help with delivery if needed. Thank You
