1970 Chevelle SS396, 350hp 4-Speed
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport Description
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Sport Coupe. 396ci V8, Muncie M21 4-speed transmission, 12-bolt differential. Finished in Black Cherry w/black stripes, and factory sport wheels. Number matching, with documentation included. Front disk brakes, power steering. This is an excellent driver-quality car. All SS equipment is present and correct. We have driven this car a few-hundred miles over the last few months, and have found it to be an absolutepleasure to drive, and rock-solid dependable. It starts, stops, runs, drives, and correctly, and our mechanic agrees. The engine apparently has an aftermarket hydraulic camshaft of about 280 degrees duration, aluminum intake manifold, Holley carburetor, exhaust headers, MSD Ignition. Starts immediately with no smoke, and settles into a pleasantly rocky idle. None of theoverheating or hot start issues that plague many big-block Chevy's. Overall thiscar isin very good condition. There is some evidence of minor rust repair, and the paint is very presentable, but not perfect. Drivers door latch needs adjustment. If you are looking for a Chevelle SS that can be shownand driven to the local cruise-inimmediately, this is the car for you.Note, I listed this car several months ago and it quickly sold. I accepted a deposit, and then bidder got cold feet and back out even before inspecting the car. We graciously refunded his deposit, BUT WILL NOT DO SO AGAIN. The car is available for inspection or road-test upon reasonable notice. No joy-riders. Our negotiable title for receipt of your certified funds at our Magnolia, Texas bank. We hate to see this one go, but it will give the new owner miles and miles of fun.
