1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS/SLP Description

Hello,

This is a 3 owner, always garaged 1997 Camaro SS / SLP. SLP Camaros were sent to STREET LEGAL PERFORMANCE directly from the Factory where body and performance modifications were made before they were returned to be sold through the normal dealer network.

In addition to the normal expected options like the 5.7L LT1 V8, Hurst 6-speed,Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Leather Seats, SLP High Flow Cold Air Intak, SLP body kit, this car also received extra modifications from SLP.

- Hurst Six-Speed Manual Shifter

- Torsen Torque Sensing Limited Slip Differential with AAM Aluminum Rear Axle Cover

- Borla SLP Performance Exhaust System

Referred to as Two-On-The-Left (TOTL) by enthusiasts. It's an all stainless steel system that utilizes larger diameter exhaust pipes and freer flowing muffler compared to the standard SS exhaust system (the same exhaust as a Z28).

This Camaro is 1 of 93 Bright Red Manual Hardtops made in 1997 (accordingto the 4th Generation Camaro History website).

The only damage that this car has is the hood was repainted because a garage door closed on it. The hood does have some stone chips in the paint. The driver's seat has a tear in it on the base. We are including a brand new GM seat bottom cover to fix that . The driver's side seat bolster has some wear from getting in and out of the car.
