This is a 1971 Chevelle Malibu. bench seat, column shift car. It has been in Arizona all its life. It belonged to a friend of mine who parked it out in the back18 years ago because the brakes quit working. I have been trying to buy it from him for years and he finally let loose of it a year ago.I have fixed a few things to get it running and driving.
The 307 V8 runs good and has a recent tune up and oil change. The carb runs butneeds rebuilt and I have a rebuild kit for it. The transmission was replaced with a rebuilt unit (see pictures). The Radiator was replaced with a new three row aluminum one. The water pump, thermostat, hoses, and belts are new. Tires are new70 series on factory rally wheels. The car needs a new windshield. The air conditioning is all there butneeds service. Brakes work fine, lights work fine, power steering workswell and goes down the road straight. No major wrecks or frame damage. The left front fender was replaced because of a dent, hood hinges. were bent and replaced. Theplastic inner fenders were replaced due to cracks. Mileage is 101420 but odometer shows 01420 because it has turned over once.
With alittle morework this could be a very valuable car.
