1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe Description

When I purchased vehicle, engine and transmission were sitting on shipping pallets wrapped in plastic from recent rebuild. Original 327 engine. Power-glide transmission. Beinga skeptic, I removed valve covers and oil pan to verify if engine truly had been rebuild only to find assembly lube still on rocker arms. Engine appeared to have brand new crank shaft, cam shaft, pistons, bearings, connecting arms, etc, basically a complete rebuild. What I don't know definitively is if the cylinders had been bored out and oversized pistons installed. Iwas given no paperwork regarding the rebuild. She started up like a dream as soon as I installedthe motor back into the vehicle. Previous owner passed away during restoration, vehicle was repossessed by a bank, and I bought as "non-operating" since engine and transmission were not installed in vehicle. The block was decked which did remove the casting numbers on the passenger side of the block. The numbers do match on the back of the block as well as on the intake manifold. Original carburetor (could use a rebuild, I haven't driven car nearly as much as she deserves since I bought her). I replaced the following parts using OEM components or comparable; fuel tank, all fuel lines, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, alternator, radiator, radiator and heater core hoses, all rubber brake lines, all brake shoes and spring kits, all wheel bearings, moog sway bar bushings, all control arm bushings, has brand new correct Coker tires with under 500 miles on them, rebuilt the power steering pump, replaced all power steering hoses, installed new shocks in the front and rear. I did not replace the springs as I intended to put lowering springs on the vehicle one day (four kids after purchase prevented that from ever happening). She drives great and straight.

Car is originally from California (have laminated copy of the original window sticker). Then she came to south Texas where she resides now. No rust anywhere at all. Very solid car. Does NOT have air conditioning (as I said, it was originally a southern California car). Overall, the paint is in very nice condition. The chrome is beautiful. Interior overall is in good/very good condition. Headliner is perfect.

What I know is wrong with her. The clock does not work. The horn does not work. One the right front fender where the hood closes, there is a very small nick in the paint (barely can see unless you are looking for it). Small dent in the front of the hood spear (nothing on the hood itself). A few pieces of rubber weather stripping around windows should be replaced. On the passenger side of the dash pad, directly above the speaker, there are a couple of parts where the vinyl is coming up as if the adhesive was not done perfectly. I would rebuild the carburetor to make it ride perfectly. On the passenger side of the front bumper, there is a scratch in the chrome (you have to get down on your knees to even see it). I just don't drive her nearly as much as I would like and I need the garage space.
