There are so many otherthings I have had done for the vehicle. Seals on some windows have been replaced, the mechanisms for rolling up the windows I paid to have replace, replaced a front side window. Have babied it with its oil changes and service needs such as a recent transmission service.
SAFETY FEATURES1. New 3 Point Seat Belts for the front seat and new 3 point seat belts for the rear seats. These were installed by a professional. (the front middle seat and the back middle seat are just lap belts) - Got all belts to match the tropical turquoise color too.2. New Collapsible steering wheel column. As much as I love and have studied 57 Chevy Cars, this I did not know. When I told a fellow 57 enthusiast I was getting 3 point belts, he asked me if I was getting them on the driver's side to hold me in while I got harpooned. I was perplexed and asked what he meant. That's when I learned that the steering wheel column in the original cars didn't collapse and gets forced into the driver's compartment. When I learned that, I immediately updated it to take advantage of that major safety upgrade. I don't drive much, but when I'm driving and when I have little ones in the car, I think safety first.
I personally have over $35,000 invested in this vehicle and the next owner will cherish this beauty as I have. I will require an immediate payment of 500 dollars and full paymentwithin 72 hours of purchase. If you are the winning bidder and do not pay for the vehicle, you forfeit your 500 dollars. Listing oneBay is expensive and I can't foot the bill for dreamers who are wishing and wanting to own such a vehicle, but can't afford it. I have described the vehicle to the best of my ability citing the features and some of the imperfections in the conditions section. I am not a mechanic and had all the work done by professional mechanics. I am happy to answer questions to the best of my ability and welcome those who would like to make an appointment to see the vehicle. I will be uploading a video of the vehicle running on youtube here shortly and will post the link when it is up and viewable. I require that the owner pay with a certified check or wire the funds directly to my account. Only once the funds have cleared or have been received will I release the vehicle. The car is licensed in Georgia and Georgia does not title cars made in the 50s. However, I do have the out of state title when I bought it and it appears that I can just transfer that title to you as there is space to do so. I will also furnish a bill of sale and I will be happy to assist with transporting the vehicle (I can meet the hauler if you are shipping the vehicle to your location.) Also, listed for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction/ buy it now sale at anytime due to other potential buyers.
This is a beautiful 1957 chevy that has been lovingly cared for. It is not a trailer queen and, with that said, it does have a few imperfections. Although the car is a true California vehicle as per the vin tag, it does have a few paint chips and and a small tear in the carpeting. Much of the vehicle is original, so it has an authentic vintage feel and not a perfect new showroom vehicle condition. Many people who have looked at the car have called it an 7 or 8. So many items are new or newer. While the mechanic who has cared for the vehicle says it is a solid car through, I have noticed there are a few places where it appears the paint is bubbling a little. To the best of my knowledge everything works with the exception of the odometer. In the last couple months the odometer has decided to stop and start, but the speedometer and everything else appears to work just fine: lights, signals, etc. The power breaks function more like non-power breaks at low speeds, but at higher speeds great.
