1973 Z-28 Camaro
1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Description
1973 Camaro Z-28 is a good candidate for restoration. Floor pans, trunk pan all solid. This is a complete project. I have all the pieces for the interior including trim. It does need to be redone. It comes with a fender for the passenger front, headlight bezel and split bumper corners brand new in the boxes. This was a project that I wanted to finish but due to health reasons, I am unable to do so. I started sanding and doing the body work on all the grey areas you see, unfortunately, I was working outside and I was forced to primer everything because of the rain but there is NO rust under the primer.
Originally, this car came with a 350 engine and a 4 speed transmission...the clutch pedal is still in the car and it has a 10 bolt posi-trac rear end. It now has a 305 engine and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The motor will run but needs a carburetor and a timing chain. No battery. The drivers seat needs tracks but the passenger seat is fine. They are unbolted from the floor because I was going to put in a new carpet. Around the windows are in good shape. There are some rust areas here but they are liveable. This has been a New Mexico car all of its life. Again, due to health reasons and lack of funds, this car is up for sale.
According to the VIN # and Fischer tag, this car is a legitimate Z-28. I believe the split bumper was an ordered option. I looked under the seats for a build sheet unfortunately someone else beat me to it. From what I was able to research, this car had a 245 hp 350 with a Muncie 4 speed which was stock off the show room floor. I wanted to put her back to original condition. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!
