1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Description

This is a "barn find" car. It was sold by Knapp Chevrolet in Houston, Texas and to my knowledge has never left the area. It was discovered near Magnolia, Texas in a barn during an estate discovery. The car has had the engine semi-rebuilt with new gaskets and seals but not a total rebuild. Seems it didn't need it. It has been cleaned-up inside and out and is in streetable condition with new master brake cylinder and restored brakes. It also has a brand-new Vintage Air system that was beautifully installed, where the spare tire used to be. Custom, painted-to-match sheet metal covers it. New carpeting and floor mats have been installed as well. The fresh-air intake under the windshield will need to be replaced due to rust. This Monza sports is original paint and appears to have never been wrecked in any way. The barn finder's kid sprayed some primer on portions of the roof and a small area on the hood but could probably be removed if you like the current patina. Must sell to support daughter's college career. Feel free to send along any questions, if I can't answer them, the barn finder probably can and I am still in touch with him. Thanks
