1989 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2 Dr Base Description

This is a 1989 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Long Bed Pickup. I'm selling my pickup after owning it for 16 years. Everything works on it. It is a very dependable truck. The engine has been taken out and overhauled and just turned over 3,000 miles on the new overhaul. The truck used to have a 700R4 transmission but it went out, so I installed a new 400 Turbo, and this works a lot better. The rear end has recently been rebuilt. My pinion nut shaft came loose and ruined the gears, so I installed new gears, and now everything works fine. The 4-wheel drive works excellent. This truck is a good puller. The electric windows all work good, the AC works, and radio works. The front seat has a little rip due to wear from getting in and out. I also have a set of steps that I will let go with the truck so if you want to put them on, you can. It has brand new wheels and Mickey Thompson tires. I think that they only have about 300 miles on them. I don't use this truck very much anymore because I have a newer 4 door pickup. So, this truck just sat around in the garage. I have since sold my larger shop, and I don't want this pickup to just sit around outside. That's really the only reason I'm selling it. It also has new front and rear bumpers and a new grille. It has a steel cowl induction hood. It's been a really great truck. I've got a feeling we are definitely going to miss it.
