1956 CHEVROLET 210 DELRAY 2-DOOR SEDAN 72K Original Miles Restored Documented!
1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Delray Description
'The Hot One is Even Hotter' was the motto that Chevrolet boasted for its new 150, 210 and Bel Air series in 1956. The 1956 Chevrolet promised a friskier, sweeter ride than the '55. Playing off the success of the previous year re-design, the new 1956 Chevy was met with an appetite of frenzy from the buying public. Minor changes were made to the '56, including new engine options, a slightly different dash, a newly hidden gas filler cap in the rear fin, and new colors, trim and fabrics. The '56 Chevrolet was a hit nationwide as sales continued to climb throughout the year. 'Red Hills Rods & Classics' is happy to offer you this beautiful 1956 Chevrolet 210 Delray 2-Door Sedan, finished in its factory correct (Code 710) Indian Ivory/Twilight Turquoise wrapped around a gorgeous Turquoise/Ivory interior, w/ only 72,470 original miles! This car is heavily documented, as we have the complete owner history from day one when, Mr. Albert Vaseen, walked into Murphy Mahoney Chevrolet in Cripple Creek, Colorado, on September 16, 1956, and purchased his brand new 1956 Chevrolet 210 Delray from a salesman who happened to be a good friend. Mr. Vaseen always had a strong love for automobiles, which led him at age 67 to decide to buy a brand new car. Mr. Vaseen very much enjoyed his new car for nearly 20 years, mainly to make one-day trips to the mountains west of Denver. Due to his declining health, in 1975, Mr. Vaseen handed the title over to his son, V.A. Vaseen, w/ 46,000 miles on the odometer. After his father passed away in 1976, V.A. Vaseen gave the car to his daughter Gail (Vaseen) Moler and her husband Phil Moler. The Molers drove the '56 Chevy daily at first, and then only on weekends through 1983, when the car was put into storage and no longer driven except for maintenance purposes. Three years later on April 7, 1986, they sold the car to Timothy C. Smith from Arizona. The Smiths owned the car until Mr. Smith's death in 1994, when Mrs. Smith moved to Alaska and sold the car to Leonard B. Prell on May 16, 1994. Mr. Prell had always wanted a Tri-Five Chevy since his high school days, so when his uncle called and told him that he had found the perfect car w/ only 68,000 original miles, Mr. Prell jumped at the chance. The selling point for Mr. Prell was the amazing original condition of the car, and the complete owner history from day one. He thoroughly enjoyed the Delray for nearly 23 years, and when it came time to sell her, he had it professionally repainted in its factory correct colors, restored the interior, completely rebuilt the motor & transmission to factory specs, re-chromed the original bumpers, installed a new OEM exhaust system, new leaf springs, new brakes, etc. Mr. Prell owned the Delray from 1994 through 2017, and now she sits on our showroom floor here in Saint George, Utah. As you can see by the photos, this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Delray is absolutely beautiful! The Indian Ivory/Twilight Turquoise paint is simply gorgeous w/ a deep, lustrous shine, and all of the original sheet metal is super straight all the way around the car. All body panels & gaps are aligned beautifully, and all of the chrome & bright work is in new show quality condition throughout. The lines on the 1956 Chevrolet have always been my favorite of the Tri-Five Chevys. She sits on 15" steel wheels w/ correct full wheel covers, wrapped w/ classic Remington G78-15 wide white-wall tires. You can walk around this car a hundred times and you won't find a bad angle. When you slide into the Turquoise/Ivory interior, you will swear that it's 1956 all over again! With new seat covers, door panels, kick panels, & carpeting, it truly looks factory fresh. The white painted dash is all original as are the gauges, which have been restored and work perfectly. A modern AM/FM radio with a vintage appearance was installed, and works wonderfully. Again, all gauges, lights, blinkers, radio, etc., are in perfect working order. Nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay you will find the original completely rebuilt 265ci 2V V8 motor (engine stamp/suffix code 0166892T56F) dressed up in its factory correct 'Chevy Red' paint. Please look closely at the photos to see how much attention was given to the engine compartment. The original 265ci V8 motor is linked to the original completely rebuilt Powerglide transmission, which feeds power to the original 3.55 rear-end. The trunk area is 100% complete w/ original steel wheel, spare tire, jack & crow bar. This '56 Delray runs nicer than any original Tri-Five Chevy that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You don't even have to get into the car to start it, simply lean in and turn the key, and she fires up instantly, settling into a super smooth idle. She runs & drives beautifully in every way and is an absolute blast to drive! This '56 Chevrolet is the ultimate cruiser and no matter where you take her there will be a crowd around within minutes. This car is perfect for the Chevrolet purist who wants a classic car that hasn't been torn apart and pieced together w/ parts from different cars, etc. With a complete owner's history from day one, there is no wondering about where this car has been and what it's been through, as it's 100% documented. Paperwork includes: original owner's manual, piles of previous title work & past registrations, original bills of sale, stacks of receipts from work performed, and testimonials from all four previous owners. If you are searching for an original '56 Chevy that you can drive & enjoy thoroughly, as well as win trophies at your local car shows, it will be very hard to beat this beautiful 1956 Chevrolet 210 Delray 2-Door Sedan.
