1967 Chevrolet El Camino Description

Owned this since 95 used to clean pools out of it
many yrs doing things over a few time and over 93k later here it is
Appraised yrs ago at 60k (have it here) insures easy for 40k through NCM
200 mi on it literally driven it a hanful of times health nosedived then parked it a year ago. Sad
Drive em guys dont save em life is short
10+ yr extensive nut/bolt/washer/wire frame off done myself
Lots of gloss POR-15 and sandblasting built to last the rest of my life
Drivetrain:
11.5:1 385 (brand new GM block) solid roller 385 small block chevy
Jesel Crower Isky Manley MSD Weiand AED (850HO) much much more
Over 2k in true Richard Childress Racing drive system pullies sized perfectly custom 80/120 amp alt
Way over the top...230cc head 260/268@050 SR...driveable as radical as it sounds much I am leaving out
Trans:
Pullout T56 from dealer in 98 has 30 mi on it!! TRC trans in Chatsworth added every available upgrade to this piece great job
got the 2nd or 3rd CF DF clutch hydraulic lightened balanced etc. 3" Torino steel driveshaft Spicers etc.
Rear:
Orig 12 bolt housing welded tubes orig SSM bars boxed uppers Superior axles Eaton posi Motive 4.11 much more
All polished or braided brake lines front to rear, even the drums are new I reused NOTHING on this car. Know better!!!
Makes no noise, drivetrain slop very tight.
Body:
Custom built cowl hood in the 90s out of a real 1969 Z/28 skin befor ethe repops came out new hinges etc.
Every single panel replaced except rear quarters, frame more square than GM had it body centered perfectly.
Interior:
Everything and I mean everything in it is brand new, original AC dash mint. Have many good original OEM pieces
Tach simply unplugs via weatherpack plug under dash (cant see it under WOT things happen too fast)
SS gauges and glovebox pieces added just for looks we all know there were no SS Caminos til 68.
Have clean AC control assy not pictured tach is for tuning and MPH mainly waiting for electronic conversion to T56 that doesnt cost $300!
Backlighting changed to bright aqua hue so no dull boring grandma white lights. Blind as a bat it helps lol.
Brand new "Green Glass" for ac cars strips etc. Yeah it still whistles a little
I deleted the AC/heat yrs ago as I never used it was heavy when it did work was temperamental and weight is the name of the game here while staying 100% USA steel!
Suspension
All new Graphite bushings, New cut fronts, Hotchkiss rear orig Herb Adams front bar Addco rear sways. KYB shocks
Rides firm but not stiff corners very very flat with rubber up front. With skinnies you feel...well a lot.
Car is easy to drive, sounds incredible pulls like youd hope it would. Solid no heating starting issues weirdo shorts etc.
These drive on the fwy like you hear...wheelbase maybe but my god not a better riding fwy car on the planet it is awesome. No old car float
12 to 1 progressive quic ratio steering box by the way. Rebuilt the original column (didnt even need it) if that says anything abou the build.
All new M and H wiring harness custom from harness hidden..along with MSD box, vacuum reservoir. Tried to keep it clean simple tasteful and functional
Cooling? De Witts BB radiator hi flow pump Spal fan works just fine.
So much more, pics etc dating back to the mid 90s
If I think youre serious I will put the car on stands hand you a creeper...take your time inspect..pull a valve cover i have NOTHING to hide try and find a seller like me
Note I made no power claims chest thumping or circus announcer ad . Should tell ya something
In a world of 20-30k restos with spray paint, questionable motors what this lacks in "look at me" bling it makes up for in build quality I skimped out on NOTHING except the air cleaner til I could fab up a cold air box that complimented the car
Too OCD to decide. Lots of fun, best therapy on the planet.
Of course someone will ask about MPG....sheesh....Ok not bad on the hwy you got 6 gears. Around town keep the ATM handy and its worth every damn dime. You never hear cars like this running around these days.
nothing is perfect they are never done
Email with contact number for more info will happily answer any and all questions
If you are trying to see if Im desperate dont bother I am not
My lifespan is very very ltd and selling only to get the vultures off my back wating for me to kick off. Hasnt been driven in a year too nice to let her sit.
Thanks all and God Bless.
