2005 Chevrolet Avalanche Z71 Off Road Description

Up for sale here is a Very Nice 2005 Flex Fuel Avalanche in really good condition. Runs great! Has the typical check engine light like all after 100k miles due to emissionrelated components. Code comes back as Evap canister purge. Will never affected driveability. Does need new tires. I have 2 spares that would get you more miles to go with it.
It has a complete Navigation system from an '06 Yukon Denali. This is the LUXURY BOSE SOUND SYSTEM not the "dumb amp" premium sound system. Professionally installed and coded to this vehicles VIN. Does need a new nav disk because it's scratched and it quit reading. They are under $50 here on eBay. There is a separate DVD/MP3 player that will play on the screen even while moving. Has a bluetooth adapter for your phone. Also hooked up to it is a backup camera that really comes in handy for hooking up a trailer by yourself without getting out 5 times to see if you are lined up correctly. All these accessories go through the PAC adapter that was over $250 at the time. All this cost me over $2000 a few years back. Windows are tinted to match factory color on back windows. A power lock was added to the tailgate so you can just use the key FOB to lock and unlock the tailgate. I bought it from my Brother in law about 5 years ago so it has been in the family for a while. He bought it around 2008. About a year after he bought it an older lady backed into him at Walmart and bent the rear bumper a little. The insurance company replaced the whole bumper even though it was very minor. There has only been 3 owners total.
Another great upgrade was the addition of the AirLift ride system installed in the rear springs. If you need to haul a heavy load or a travel trailer camper, you add a few pounds of air to the system and level the truck right out. No more squatting in the rear while loaded. I once carried 44 sheets of 1/2" drywall and the truck will sit level with 40-50 psi of air. One of the best low cost investments you can make in my opinion.
It's been a great truck for sure but I need a larger bed since we are trading in our Class C Motorhome and a 5th wheel trailer is coming this summer and will not work with this truck because of the side wings just behind the cab. If it wasn't for the new camper coming I would keep this truck.
As far as the negatives go...
Like I said it needs tires. I was a smoker before I quit a year ago so the front seat has a couple idiot burns. Other than that the interior cleans up extremely well. The seats are gray cloth. There are the usual small light scratches and nicks here and there on the exterior but it shows very well. Really no rust to speak of other than just inside the fuel door cover. Pretty minor and an easy fix.
I have done all the maintenance myself as I am a professional mechanic and have access to extremely discounted parts so if something needed replace it was done promptly. Some things done were... The fuel pump, The power steering cooler(had a small drip so it was replaced), the water pump(preventative maintenance as I know roughly when they will start to fail), the idler pulleys(started a little squeaking that bothered me), plugs(routine), wires(routine), instrument cluster stepper motors(typical Chevy/GM issue), and more I just can't think of right now. I have always pampered this vehicle. Mainly used for commuting to and from work. 90% highway, 10% city.
Whoever buys this truck will get many MANY more trouble free miles out of it. I know this truck inside out and assure you it's extremely dependable. It has never left me stranded! Chevy 5.3 LS motors are very dependable as history has shown. This is a very solid truck!
Miles may increase very slightly due to continued occasional use.
Thanks for looking and best of luck bidding.
