1946 Chevrolet Truck Chevy Truck 1-1/2 Ton
1946 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description
1946 Chevy 1-1/2 Ton Truck. The truck is in pretty good overall condition for its age, and I'll do my best to provide a good description. It has great patina, as you can see from the various photos. First, I got this truck to restore as a classic flat-bed farm truck. A previous owner brought it down to NW Arkansas from Omaha, Nebraska, where a guy named Tom Wells used it as a business truck, back in the day. The rear axle broke, and the previous owner was in the process of replacing it, and apparently got sidetracked in the process! The hubs and brake assemblies arrived at my place in the front seat and floor, as you can see from the photos. The engine appears to be original, and the previous owner said that he had been using the truck around his farm when the axle broke, so I assume that it was running properly, but I have not tried to turn it over, etc..

The two front tires are fairly new, and the front rims are the modern bead-lock types. The two rear tires also come with the truck, and can be seen on the bed of the 1946 GMC 1-1/2 truck that I am selling in a separate auction. The interior and exterior of the truck are about average for a 70 year old truck, and you can expect some rust on the doors, sills, rocker panels, etc.. I do not have a title to this truck, and assume that you will be restoring it or reconstructing it into a customized machine. Further, I don't know where to find the chassis or engine block numbers. I am not finding Serial Number Tag ID plates in the engine compartment, or door pillars, so if you need the serial number, please tell me where to look, and I will gladly post it here in the questions.

The instrument cluster is intact and the cluster-glass is good. (Those are cobwebs in the upper left-hand corner.) Please look over the photos carefully, and ask me any questions you have. I will answer them to the best of my ability, in that I am not a vintage Chevy or GMC truck expert. This truck is located behind the gate in my pasture, for you to pick up, if you are the winning bidder. Or, if you will be having the truck transported, I will be glad to meet the hauler and assist him, as best as I can, etc.. This truck must be picked up at my farm near West Fork, Arkansas. If you wish to have it shipped, all costs and arrangements must be paid for and taken care of by you, the Buyer.

THE DEPOSIT ONTHIS TRUCK MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS VIA PAYPAL, WITH THE REMAINDER DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS VIA CASHIER'S CHECK. ARRANGEMENTS FOR PICKUP MUST BE MADE WITHIN 15 DAYS OF PAYMENT BECAUSE THE PROPERTY WHERE IT IS LOCATED IS BEING SOLD.
