Chevrolet Chevy 1978 C10 Silverado /.Shortbed Stepside Not GMC Longbed
1978 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Description
This is a 1978 Chevy C10 Silverado, one-family owned. It is equipped with a 350 engine, automatic 700R transmission, p/s, p/b, a.c., p/w, p/l, tilt, cruise, factory tach. The guy I got the truck from inherited the truck from his brother around 2002. Since then, he spent over $20,000 on it. He gave me all of the receipts, along with the owner's manual, warranty booklet and build sheet. He installed a Chevrolet Crate engine, which was the Ram Jet fuel injection 350 engine 350 Hp, along with a Phoenix built 700R transmission. The motor by itself is over $6,000. You can go online to get more details about the Ram Jet engine and how dependable it is. I have the receipt for both of these and for the installation, which totals over $13,000. The body is good and straight, with a few rust bubbles starting in the passenger door. The paint has the clear coat peeling off on the hood, fenders and top. Some people refer to this as patina. If I was to keep the truck, I'd repaint it and keep it as a show truck. It does have the original wood in the bed, which is very good, for the age. The interior is in very good condition. This truck starts easy, runs & drives good. It has the factory tach, which does not work correctly. The power door lock on the passenger side doesn't work right. The truck has a nice Alpine stereo and speaker system. It has a Viper remote lock/alarm system (this is not a remote start system). The truck is a very dependable truck and would make a very good shop or cruise-around truck as is.
I am listing this as Auction-Style. There is no Buy It Now. The last winning bidder went missing in action. If you can't pay for it, don't bid on it! I'm tired of dealing with flakes who like to bid but disappear after they win.
