1968 Camaro SS Convertible
1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible 2-Door Description
We are proud to present a recently restored 1968 Camaro SS 396 Convertible with Muncie 4-speed transmission. It has the original correct P1 code Sea Frost Green paint (less than 3% built this color in 1968) with the white convertible top. The car was featured in the Hot Rod magazine (April 2014) as a barn find. As the article states, the prior owner started to restore it in 1981 but then the car sat in a Barn. As noted in the article, the original engine was removed long ago. Once into the restoration, a rebuilt HO 396 was sourced and installed in the car. The original 396 big block heater core, big block cross member, date correct and original 12 bolt posi, 4-piston power disc brakes are in place to prove it was a 396. It has the original hood, floor, doors and trunk. The car came with NOS fenders and the quarters were replaced. It has all new bushings, shocks, suspension and all new brake lines, rebuilt brake components, complete new Flowmaster exhaust system. It has a new under dash wire harness. It has all original glass in the car, new fuel tank and fuel lines. All the electrical works except the radio which is original. It has 15X7 rally wheels in front and 15X8 in rear with new radial tires. The rebuilt 396 was brought back properly with a cast intake and holly 4-barrel carb and has less than 1,000 miles on it. The restored interior is in excellent condition as well as the top is new. This car runs and drives nice and solid, no squeak or no rattles. All receipts from the restoration and pictures are included with the car. We can coordinate shipping to anywhere. Please contact Savannah Classic Cars at 912-235-2347.
