2001 Chevrolet cavalier NEW TANK, CNG Bifuel natural gas factory bifuel
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier CNG NEW TANK Description
CNG, Natural Gas, Factory bifuel directly from Chevy dealer. We are 2nd owner, 1st was state of Nevada..
NEW CNG tank, expires in 2034, 6 liter equivalent tank. 115-150 miles on a CNG tank, nearly 500 miles without a stop with both tanks. New tank and installationcost $3,000. That means you get a CNG cavalier for less than $1,500 and a the cost of a new tank.
Top end for a cavalier, Cruise control, power steering, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, key-less entry. Upgraded Alpine CD with bluetooth, upgraded speakers and tinting on all windows. CNG cost $1.70 in Utah (but really it is $1.59, they just changed the volume of a gallon last year).
Gets 20 to 32 miles per gallon. Great for student or commuter.
At 20,000 miles per year, you will save $850 in gas and pay off the car (Like having a free car) in 4-5 years. We have saved over $4,000 in gas on this car.
30% less greenhouse gasses emitted and 70% less particulate pollution (that causes the inversion) than regular gas.
We have driven this car to San Diego and back, Vegas multiple times, Oregon etc, very reliable. You will not find another cavalier with 17 years left on the tank and such low miles. I have seen most of these for re-sale with 115K to 300K. Runs so clean on CNG it will last forever. We have 8 metal rims, all 4 wheel covers (rare) and 3 snow tires (one got punctured right before we took off the snow tires). That way you can switch from nice summer tires to excellent snow tires for very little cost (cost a lot more when you switch the tires off the rims).
We have loved this little car but got great deals on two CNG 2010 Chevy Impalas, not getting out of CNG, just upgraded.
