1995 Chevrolet Impala SS Description

This is your chance to own an Impala SS of your very own. This Impala was purchased from the family of the original owner. Originally purchased in 1995 from S&J Chevrolet in Los Angeles/Cerritos, this Impala has resided in the warm, dry and salt free southern California environment. It comes with the original window stickers and purchase agreement along with a 2 inch thick folder of receipts going all the way back to 1995. Owners manual and wheel lock is in the glove box. This Impala is original and unmolested, so you won’t have any surprises with this one. The 350 engine is powerful, smooth and quiet and the car is a pleasure to drive. These cars are such good highway cruisers. It just passed California Emissions/Smog in March 2017. In addition the following parts have been recently replaced: radiator in 01/2017, Bosch 36/96 mo. battery in 12/2016, center link/drag link in 11/2016, starter in 10/2015 fan/AC blower motor in 08/2015, EGR valve in 02/2015. New brakes front and rear 10,000 miles ago. New shocks were installed on all 4 corners 30,000 miles ago. The front seats were recovered in 2010 in the original style and are very comfortable with no rips or tears. The cost for the upholstery work was $1,225.00. Although this car is rust free, it does have a pretty bad case of sunburn. The hood, roof and trunk and rear bumper have lost their clear coat and will need to be repainted and clear coated. The rear passenger door was low speed scraped and dented by a parking lot post and will need to be repaired and painted, as well. The door opens and closes as original and the window goes up and down as original, so the damage is localized. The rest of the car is very solid and could be detailed and would look very nice, but you may want to have the whole car repainted and clear coated, so it can look factory fresh once again. The interior is solid, but could use a detail. The dash pad is cracked and will need to be replaced or you could cover it with a $40 dash cover kit. The headliner and visors will need to be recovered as the cloth is starting to sag and deteriorate. The carpet is nice with a little bit of wear by the left had driver foot well. The original floor mats are still in place and in good shape as they have been covered with another set of aftermarket sacrificial floor mats that are in the trunk. The glass is good all the way around and the power windows work well. Everything works electrically including the digital dash, lights, horn, cruise control, radio, CD player, power seats and door locks. This Impala starts quickly and idles smooth and quiet. The engine stays cool, even on the hottest of days with the A/C on, as the new radiator and dual electric radiator fans work as they should. The engine is clean, but could use valve cover gaskets. The tires have about 50% tread, but have even wear. The car has a small trailer receiver hitch, which is bolted on to the frame, so it can be removed if you want. Keyless entry. This is your chance to own one of these awesome Impalas without having to pay $10,000, 20,000 or $30,000 for a lower mileage car. Enjoy driving it while you fix it up over time or restore the car exactly the way you want it, as this car has solid bones. Clear title in hand. Low Reserve!! Buy it, fly in and drive your new Impala SS home.
