I bought this vehicle from a long time family friend, who drove it a few times and stored it in his garage for a couple of years, with proper maintenance. I bought it to enjoy it for the summer, but I don't have the time to maintain it fully or make any modifications anymore. If you are looking for a first time driver, or just a sleek car to enjoy for the summer, this is it. Anyone who is familiar with Cavaliers from the early 2000's knows that these cars will most likely make it past 200,000 miles with proper maintenance!
Vehicle does run and ride VERY well. It runs and idles smoothly and quietly. The transmission shifts easily and smoothly. It has great acceleration and overall endurance. Turning is smooth and braking is quick and easy. I Have used my OBDII scanner on the vehicle many times to test its diagnostics, there are no fault codes and the emissions are great.
I have given the vehicle a complete tune up, Changed the Brake pads, and have put NEW tires on it. I have also switched out the OEM radio and put in a new Kenwood with touchscreen features. Other than that the vehicle is original and ready to go. This is also a 17 Year old vehicle and I have done that maintenance, The vehicle does Need new weather stripping around the windows. The original stripping has dry rot from sitting in the garage. I am NOT sure if the windows will leak, But I Keep it covered at all times just in case. Has NOT been out in the rain uncovered. I Will include the cover with the purchase. The Passenger side window needs a new Resonator, The passenger side window will go down, But will not come back up all the way. The A/C and heat systems do not work unfortunately. Seats have some marks on then, not really noticeable, NO tears or rips! The back also has a small blue paint spot that won't come off without scraping. The convertible top itself functions very well, there are NO rips or scratches on it, it looks very well. The dashboard has a little piece missing from the front.Vehicle Does include jack, and spare tire in the trunk, and a leather covering for the mechanics of the top for when it is down.
The body of the vehicle is in Great cosmetic condition. The back bumper has some nicks on it, the paint is a little chipped but that's it. The rest of the vehicle looks pretty much New! Please make sure you have read and understood the full description. This is an older vehicle in great condition, there are no major problems with it.
