LT1, 5.7L, 68,900 actual, Automatic, 2 tops, Red/Red, runs and drives great
1995 Chevrolet Corvette Base Hatchback 2-Door Description
It is clean and maintained. Non smoker and garage kept, adult driven. Build sheet indicates car was originally sold at Frank Parra Chevrolet in Irving, Texas. Car is garage kept. Non-smoker. Adult driven. Well maintained with oil changes (5/30 Mobile 1), fluids and cleaning. All of the lights in the dashboard panel work. The car is fun to drive, gets a lot of looks. Both tops bind well and neither leak. The glass top is held in the package deck. The sliding deck cover works but never used. Two sets of keys.
Engine has been well maintained and runs very well. Handling is what you would expect from a car with less than 70k miles. Wheels are always balanced and aligned. Acceleration is just like it was when the car was a year old. Air is cold. Tops seal well. Tranny and drive train are excellent. I get about 18 mpg city and close to 28 on highway, over 30 if I keep it under 70 mph. This is a Corvette that does not have all the rattles most of them this age would have. I like finding those and stopping them though I am not looking for an absolutely quiet interior. I still like hearing the engine and feeling the road. This car is just a little tighter than most of this vintage.
Repaired, restored or recently replaced. Documentation on hand.

Stereo output is completely distorted, could be output transistors, radio and CDs play but faintly, drowned by the static. I have not replaced since the new owner may want his own or replace with OEM.Radio antenna has fallen out of its position and needs to have the draw pull cord rerouted in the motor that raises up and down. There is a hole in the drivers left rear quarter panel that is plugged currently. (photo)The lockout that prevents the engine from starting unless the brake is depressed has been removed. Car can be started without pressing on brake when key is turned. The cover for the cupholder has a badge from the factory that was replaced. It was accidentally moved slightly before it was dried. Looks a little messy but I leave it open. Its there but I don't notice it that way. There is an oil leak yet to be identified. It could be from the oil pan or main seal. Uses about a quart per month. The passenger side window does not come down either from the passenger or drivers control switch. There is a stress crack in the driver's rear panel, upper. (photo) This has been repaired but was not a very good job. Origin or cause is unknown to me.The driver's window seems to be loose and out of correct position as the top right strikes the body slightly when opening/closing. Can be resolved with 5. (photo)The driver side door arm rest is attached but not practical to utilize as a small storage compartment. It should be replaced since the mounting screw attach points have been broken. The rest is currently glued in place and functions perfectly as an arm rest. It should not be used to open the door using the drivers left elbow, it will work loose again. (photo)The latch on the center console arm rest has long been broken, now repaired but not correctly. Arm rest/compartment cover will close and stay closed, easy to open. It's just not correct. (photo)The windshield is original. Thus there are minor scratches around the inspection sticker from years of someone scrapping them off with a razor. There was indentation damage in the paint on the front nose, above the parking lights, drivers side. The polyurethane was dented, popped back out but the paint cracked. It did not separate from the body but created "spider web" type cracks. Hard to see. There are also some minor paint scuffs that cut through the paint and into the bumper material. (photo)There is one wheel lug nut cap missing, front passenger side.Floor mats have "collector edition" though this is NOT a collector edition. I mistakenly ordered them and failed to return on time, decided to keep them. (photo) You can bid or offer with confidence. I want you to know everything you need to know about this car. Please ask questions and I will post answers for other bidders. Serious inquiries only please.
