1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Nomad Description

I have owned this car since 1988. It had an amateur restoration before I bought it. It is a very nice driver quality car that runs and drives excellent. It doesn't need anything, just drive and enjoy. It is very reliable. It has an original Powerpack 265 V-8 and Powerglide transmission that have been completely rebuilt to stock specs professionally. It originally came with factory air and a padded dash which are listed on the cowl tag. Both were removed before I bought it. It still has the factory air outlets in the dash. The interior is in great shape with no rips or tears. It is also paint code 703 which is harbor and Nassau blue. The red and white paint and interior were already done when I got it. Since I bought it all the exterior chrome plated pieces and emblems have been replaced. It has a complete new exhaust system. I also installed power front disc brakes, electronic ignition in the original distributor and a new edelbrock carburetor. Everything else is stock. E-Z-EYE glass. The only rust I found was in the right inner rocker panel which has been replaced. There are some small bubbles in the paint on the lower door corners. The left inner rocker was repaired before I bought it. There is no rust in the floorboards from the firewall to the tailgate, but there might be some minor rust issues around the tailgate hinge area. None is visible, but it looks like there might be something in a few spots. The undercarriage was treated with heavy duty undercoating when new so the floorboards have been well protected. It has also been kept in a climate controlled garage since the day I bought it. (30 years) I bought the car in Southern California and as far as the previous owner knew, it had always been in So. California. It has a Classic Auto Sound AM-FM cassette radio. The tires are about 75% except one is 50% tread. Everything on this car works except the clock and the gas gauge is not accurate. It works but when it registers a 1/4 of a tank it's empty. So I always fill it up @ 1/2 a tank. Please check all the photos closely and contact me if you have any questions. I have done my best to accurately describe this car. Remember, this is a 61 year old car and not a show car, it's a very nice driver. Everywhere I take it everyone loves it. It seems like almost everyone has a story to tell about their 56 Chevy they once had. It's a real attention getter, so in a way it is sort of a show car! Here's a list of what has been done since I bought it:Engine professionally rebuilt.
