Pictures and video's were taken without car being detailed first. Pictures of car on showroom floor are after detail. giving you a look at the car as we purchased it. Stickers on front fender under emblem's will be removed. Our plan is to remove and replace Current intake manifold and carburetor's, with a brand New Edelbrock Intake manifold and a New Holly 750 DP with Electric choke. If you are interested in keep the Quad set up on this car Please let us know.
1969 El Camino 4 speed. 396 big bloc, 427 crank shaft. my estimation is 550-600 Drivable HP. I have taken photos of the Block #s, trans, reared. 12bolt Posi 3.55 gear ratio. Chevrolet Orange, Originally Tuxedo Black .
Black interior, Gauge cluster in working order, minus the oil gauge which as been hard lined in under dash. Paint job is 25 +years old and as spots of it's original black showing through in a few areas in door jamb seen in photos/videos, and chips that have been touch up over the year I'm sure. Overall Body is solid and straight, minor body straitening to do for perfection. A good base to work with to bring back to its original Tuxedo Black. Rust bubbles on passenger side lower door to fender area, edge of pass headlight, solid to the touch but there. Also a large touch up chip along bedside in the pin stripping, again all is visible in my photos, and underside photos on 4 post lift while car was at eye height. Underside and running gear area in solid shape, small pin hole on underside floor pan behind seat, again very small and I have pointed it out in my underside photos/video. Overall very solid undercarriage with no visual patch work done in the past or other problem areas to point out. Car Drive's very well in town and on freeway as seen in my freeway test drive video. The dual quads are tuned properly allowing you to actually enjoy driving the car around town, or cruising down the freeway. This being said when you get throttle position at the point of opening the secondary 4 barrel carb this big block comes right to life and has lots of power, as seen in my driving videos. No burn out issues...
I do want to mention again that when quad carburetor's or set up and adjust properly this makes for a much different feel to the power Band/Range of most single 4 barrel v-8 set ups, thus making it's Power very enjoyable to drive around town or on Hwy. Another point I would like to mention again is the start ability of car when hot or cold. The engine at the turn of the key, fires right off as demonstrated in my videos. No unusual valve train noise, No known engine mechanical repairs needed at this time. Brakes Feel in proper working order and safe. Bed area is also solid with no visual rust noticed around seems of bed area, walls or floor. Interior is in good shape and complete. instrument panel surrounding " plastic" is still intact, but is cracked at the top left mounting screw slot. Overall as a hole a new paint job and a few minor cosmetic replacements will really finish this SS big block 4 speed off Nice. Otherwise it is ready to be enjoyed the way it sits. Mechanically there are no known issues that need addressed at this time, just cosmetics if looking for perfection. Thank you for your interest. CLICK HERE FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
