True 10 Second Therapy - 1 of a Kind -- Street / Drag car

1999 C5.Second owner, bought this from a local CA Chevrolet dealership back in 1999. The original buyer didn't like the paint orange peel shortly after purchasing it. The dealer got tired of hearing him complain so they bought it back. Soon after was purchased and without much effort wasquickly buffed and polished, the torch red paint looks amazing now!. That's a funny story as this car's finish is nothing short of amazing as the trophies prove. One of the finest award quality finishes seen anywhere. Amazing what some good locally made polish and a buffer can do.

This car was built to have fun - Every car has a story, and this one does too. this car was built to have fun on the street, go to the market, but also to go fast on the drag strip. It does that well. Built the motor to handle Nitrous. With the pneumatic controlled Direct Port Nitrous system installed, this car will pull like a Hell Fire missile. Best run was a 10.42 ET @ 130 mph. But when it is not activated, it is just a damn fast C5, On the motor alone, 11.7 ET ¼ mile was the best, but that was with timing taken out asmotor wasonly run the first few passes before activating the Nitrous.

It is an 11.5 second car on the motor with the appropriate timing asit istuned now. It was one of the first C5's to be in the 10's. It is truly my 10 Second Therapy. The local drag strip was shut down, Carlsbad Raceway, car was just mainly used on the street taking it out every month or so, going to car shows or just cruising, left the the Nitrous system sit dormant. It has been 6 years sincethe nitrous has beenturned on but everything is still there to bring it in the 10's again.

It is not a quiet car, but if you are worried about thatthe stock exhaust is available with a set of after market mufflers shown in the banner image that are much quieter.Right now its tuned for street use, but will not pass CA smog, itcan be switched out anytime with a Nitrous tune up whenever you so desire. The car has never seen rain, no accidents, no abuse and always kept in my garage for 17 years. A most interesting Vette.

Instead of passing the car down to my kids, I am selling it as I think they would hurt themselves driving this. The only thing missing on this car is the window washer fluid tank. I removed as it is much easieraccess tothe engine with it gone, plus, it seldom rains here in California.
**Purchased in December of 1999 as a lemon law buy back, this car is being sold as a non-op vehicle in state of CA due to car is not set up to pass smog, This car will pass smogif you install stock cats and exhaust which we do have and is available but that would be buyers responsibility in CA- Has CA title**
