1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Description
I've owned this fun and amazing vehicle for the past 10 years. 1966 Corvette 427 425HP Roadster Yellow/Black(original color). It retains it's original rear end, transmission, and big block square port heads, however the original 427 block was replaced some time before I purchased the car. In place is the 65/66 3855962 HI PERF 396 bored to 427. That casting, according to "Chevrolet By The Numbers", is the same casting used in the early 66 427's. It's not been restored, however it has new brakes, transmission rebuilt, heads rebuilt, engine rebuilt with Comp cam, McLeod clutch(throw-out could be looked at), Comp roller rockers and Comp rods, new alum radiator, upgraded fan/fan clutch, HEI ignition, new exhaust, KYB shocks, headers, and so has been my weekend driver, and a great one at that. Paint in great shape(car show worthy), the usual light surface rust shown in pics on the frame(originally a CA car), interior not restored. The headlights come up with a bit of assistance and electric windows work perfectly. Top and dash in great condition. New Michelin tires. Wheels from late 60's Chevy. Parking brake rebuilt. Original radio, hasn't played in a while. Contact with any questions.
